| YT Addict | My baby Gizmo is 5 yrs old now and one of the first things my husband said when we brought him home at 7 weeks old is...''One thing we are not gonna have is the dog sleeping in bed with us''....well needless to say he sleep with us that first night and has been in bed with us ever since. He sleeps all through tha night and our bed is tall so he cannot get up and down by himself so he will wake me up if he needs to get down to potty, then come back to the bed and bark at me to pick him back up. Here is a picture of my little one that first week we got him. Cynthia

| Gracie has slept with me since her first night here. I have never done crate training. She has always slept through the night. I think it is because she had a warm body to sleep next to. I would take her right to the pee pad when she woke up. I have pet steps that she uses to get up and down off the bed now that she is old enough to mange them. I was raised with dogs having free reign of the house so crate training in not something I am used to. Even when I still worked outside the home our puppy was confined to the kitchen when we were gone until he was old enough to be trusted with free reign but he slept with me at night. Now that Gracie is grown up she does sometimes get up to go check things out if she hears a cat moving around but mostly she sleeps until daylight. |

| Gizmo has been sleeping in our bed since we got him. He was around six months at the time. I already had a chi and doxie that was used to the steps by the bed and using a doggie door. Gizmo fit right in with them and adapted quickly to having the run of the house.

| My Gracie is a chewer. If she does not have something to chew she will go hunting for something. I have found that I have to have a bully stick available for her at all times. As long as she has her stick around she will not go around stealing things and destroying stuff. Maybe if you give your little guy a bully stick it will help keep him out of trouble. I know it has made my house a lot more peaceful and no more finding things chewed up. I always get her the 12 inch size and it lasts her for about a week and a half. I throw the last 3 or 4 inches away so she won't choke on it. I have never found a good shampoo in a local store. I use natural and ph balanced products on Gracie. Some people in the product review area were talking about the Yorkie Splash and Shine product and I think I am going to try it. It's totally natural and smells good so it sounds great. It is an online product but it's worth it to me to pay a bit of shipping to get a good product that won't dry out her skin or coat. |

| Armani has been sleeping with me since about 6 months and Chloe since probably 4 months- Chloe did chew blankets at the beginning but she outgrew that- now they are very good, they get under the covers and sleep the whole time.

| Geno slept with us when he was 10 weeks old. We had him for about 4 days and I put him in bed with me without Daddy's knowledge. Then when Daddy came upstairs, he looks at Geno, looks at me, and is like "how'd that happen" and i'm like "funny story, he turned into Super Dog, opened his crate, and flew onto the bed. It was nuts!" haha About a week or two later, we got steps going up and down from the bed. We also put on a night light so he can see when he goes down, and we keep him strictly confined to the bedroom. If he is a chewer than yeah I'd probably wait until he's a little older but maybe keep him in bed with you with a little bone or toy to keep him occupied so he doesn't chew on anything he shouldn't.

| I haven't had issues with pottying but my silk comforter was ruined by the dogs scratching to nest. It can be replaced and I will think twice before dropping that kind of money while I have doggie snugglers. Either way totally worth it to be able to hear Maddie's little snores! |

| Thor and Little Bit have been sleeping with me since they were 3 months old. Never tried to chew on my bed but one of them peed in it once lol. They were to little to get down by themselves so I could not be mad at them lol

| Dallas sleeps on my bed since night 1. I got him from the pound at 4 years old (estimated age). I had his crate ready to go from the first day I got him. After listening to him scream for an hour that first night, he got sprung from the crate and made himself comfy on my bed. After I got a really tall bed, if I don't help him up and I am on my bed he will pace and whine until his royal highness is boosted up. Even if its not bedtime and I am just web surfing or whatever. If I am on the bed, he is on the bed. He can't get down on his own so he sleeps through the night and wakes me up in the AM. Cesar Millan would have a fit if he saw us. |

| Katie Scarlett's Mommy Donating Member | Well as of right now we have decided not to let Katie Scarlett sleep in the bed with us, but I can't promise this will change. LOL. My husband is not crazy about the idea of her sleeping with us and we too have a really high 4 poster bed. I'm afraid of her falling or trying to jump off of it. If we ever do decide she can sleep in there with us, we'll definitely have to invest in doggy stairs. But we are going to put her bed right next to ours on a table so she sort of feels like she is right up there with us...well why she is still using her crate at night. Once she gets a big girl bed, we'll see where she wants to be.

| Mina spent the first night in the pac n play with me on the couch (13 weeks). She has been in our bed every night sense then (9months). I worried about her falling off of the bed too,but she sleeps right up against me. I dont put her between me and Mr Man because he would roll on top of her and never wake up. I wrap her in one of her blankets and she knows that it is time for sleep. I have been considering steps. |

| Lola slept with us for a little but she is nto fully potty trained therefore she cant jump off bed and go to a pad on her own yet (we live on two floors, too hard for her to go downstairs to go on a pad and upstairs is ALL carpet, no no) she sleeps on the first floor in her bed and has free run of the first floor which is living room, dining room and kitchen. she does fine down there and we have a loft style apt so we can hear her when she wakes and barks to go out |

| I have been letting the boys go to sleep on the bed for about the last week or so (now that they are potty trained and I am not afraid of accidents). However, they move around occasionally and when they do, we put them back in their crates so they can get back to sleep. (they have their own crates on both sides of the bed). They are 6 months old. I think it might be a little more difficult with two than one. Good luck, I agree that there is no better way to wake up than to have Yorkie kisses all over your face!

| You mean you have a choice of not letting the DOG (OMG, a dog) sleep in/on the bed? LOL Ya sure!!!!!! DH says no way, I say OK, sure, fine, what ever, but by the time I go to bed so does Sprocket. DH says not on my side, ya sure, but the baby has to be warm, right? LOL Ever since Sprocket came to live with us. He has always slept in our bed IF HE (Sprocket) chooses, sometimes he sleeps in his own bed, but not often. Sprocket is the WORST bed hog and would like to be side ways in the bed if possible, oh well, like yorkiesR2cute says Yorkie kisses, what a way to wake up with one little one I hardly do. LOL Good Luck

| Kiwi started sleeping with us in our bed when he was about 12-13 weeks, he would just cry and cry all night and it was killing us! So we took a chance and let him sleep with us and he never had an accident! When we got Lola about a month ago, we had already decided we would try her in her pen area at first and see how she does, she cried for about a minute and then quieted down and went to sleep. She doesn't mind staying in her area at all, so when Kiwi passed, it left such an empty feeling at night and in our room my DH and I decided we are not going to allow Lola in our bed. We are going to keep it as "our" space and we will prob let Lola sleep on the floor when she gets older, but for now she is happy in her pen and that works for us
