| I don't think so...I think AKC alone should be sufficient. Registries like APRI and CKC (continental one) will register any dogs as long as you pay.

I mailed your stuff today. You should get it in a few days. Can you let me know when you do? I hope they fit. It was hard not having them physically here, but Emma is a little bigger than Allie so I just based it off that and then used the same sizing for Carmel and added a little. Hope you love them!!! Hope Carmel and Emma do too!

| Continental is not any better either. I believe they purposed chose a "C" word for the registry so people would mistake it for Canadian Kennel Club, which IS a reputable registry. What was the other registry, AKC? If it's in the US and it's not AKC don't even bother. I didn't know before and I registered Uni with ACA. They don't even require witness or proof the dog is purebred, just your check.

Someone told me their dog was duel registered and that it was better. I also have a friend who got a purebred puppy the other day registered APRI. I looked at the ladies website and just groaned. She actually met her in a gas station parking lot to pick up the puppy. He was 12 weeks old (thank goodness for that) but already weighs 4 pounds and his price was reduced because of his age. She told her for more $$$ she would send in her AKC papers and he'd be duel registered

If your pups are AKC registered, don't bother with any other registry. They were created by bad breeders into tricking unknowing buyers into believing their dogs have papers, when in reality the "papers" of those registries ACA, CKC (continental, not Canadian) APRI, etc aren't worth the paper it's printed on. Now if a dog was dual registered AKC and CanadianKC I still don't know what advantage that it would have.

Thanks for your replies. She did tell them she didn't need a registration, that he's a pet and papers weren't that big of a deal.

| Did your friend see the parents?? The thing with other registrations is that non-purebred dogs can be registered as purebreds. They don't check, they simply ask $5 for the litter and $1 per a pup for (APRI) registration!! I found that out from the breeder that I was going to get a biewer from...and I started RUNNING!
