My parti's belly is pink and freckled

Until those rules are changed, tri-colored yorkies are not within the standard.
I don't think that is going to happen, European breeders and some american Breeders are still breeding to the yorkie and registering the tri colors as Biewers and the traditional colors Yorkies. AKC will never stand for 2 breeds out of the same litter. Actually their can be according to IBC 4 separate breeds in one litter...( the Biewer(Tri color),Biro(chocolate Parti) Golddust(golds and gold parti's) and Ocean Pearl(cream and cream parti)
There are just too many that have been bred back to the yorkie and still are. They have been doing it for years so when AKC sees the pedigrees its going to stop them dead.
I know some of the clubs here believe only breeding biewer to biewer, but unless you had gotten all of them to cooperate before they started breeding back to yorkies you may have had a chance.

Maybe if I had stated "IMHO" as you are prone to you it would have been acceptable to you.

Rude??? Based on most of your posts, isn't that a case of the pot calling the kettle black?
Yes of course it is, but your comment was pretty obviously something that anyone is aware could be hurtful, especially posting it on a thread made to be positive and leave out the drama per the OP's request.
So I asked if that's how it was meant.
Nope
Nope
& Nope.

If you take such issue with my posts, please by all means use the ignore function

You are probably right. So unless AKC (under YTCA recommendations) acknowledges tri-colored yorkies as being an acceptable color combination, I guess I'll just stick with my tan and blue yorkies. I do hope that one day AKC makes a place for a Yorkie(ish) blue/white/brown dog with strict requirements as far as color placement, -- just as there are for the tan and blues.

Please don't get me wrong, or think me rude, or a snob, I just believe that a club or organization is only as good as it's members - and since AKC is a CLUB, and I own AKC dogs, I am obligated to abide by the standard.

You know, I've never really had a beef with anyone before, but the WAY you expressed yourself is what is really so hurtful! Like I said before, to me it is like saying that an adopted child is not "really" part of the family, because there is no "blood kin". Just because Partis and Biewers are "different", does NOT make them Yorkies any less! That is why you have been called out, thats all.

All opinions are welcome in this thread, as they are in all threads.

Whether anyone is pro-parti, anti-parti, or somewhere in between...they are welcome to share their thoughts as long as their posts fall within the general rules.

If feeling heated/triggered - take a breath, walk away, don't let yourself post for a couple hours. I've had to do it before, and probably will have to again sometime !

I really just want to know what a "pet" buyer would prefer vrs someone buying to breed. Parti or Biewer. Was always just curious. I've only heard the Parti being slammed here on YT but no where else, so i was just curious. I find them to be a gorgeous color of the breed. As I do the Biewers of course!

I think most members knew exactly what you wanted to know and were good to answer according to their preference. There are always going to be haters though so, I'm choosing to overlook their ignorance as to just how wonderful these tri color yorkies are.....their loss

Love it Ann....pro-parti

Speaking as a natural redhead I would always love anything who's coloring is as a result of recessive gene's. I can understand that the AKC must have set standards to use as a baseline to judge from and I understand maintaining good breeding practices. But that said talking pet quality not show standards is it not a form of prejudice to be against a well bred dog whose only difference is a recessive gene? I also do not understand why the AKC allows color variations in some dogs and not others. Once again this is the opinion of a recessive gene individual.

I share your opinion also. I didn't perceive her statement offensive.

Can I ask what you feel constitutes being a purebred Yorkie?

I hope my statements didn't offend anyone. I feel obligated to explain a bit more. If I was purchasing a pet puppy at "unregistered" pet puppy prices, then I would probably go with a Biewer, because Peanut(Kim)'s Lily is the only tri-colored "yorkie-like" dog that I know and I think she is precious.

If I were paying big bucks for a registered dog, I select a breed recognized by the AKC and an individual that fit within the breed's standard.
