Biewer or Parti? Which do you prefer?

And I know Ann can speak for herself. I'm sure she loves Pfieffer (as she should....he's a darling boy) and I'm also sure her opinions are more evolved than to be either simply anti or pro. I'm pretty sure she and I have no animosity over this issue (at least I hope not ).

Sorry Jim, I should have worded my post differently. Not hate of the dog per se but yes, there are some exhibitors that "hate" the idea of tri color yorkies being bred, accepted by the AKC as purebred yorkies, and becoming so popular among pet buyers.

Besides that they are a stunningly beautiful little dog, it is their personalities that hooked me. That being said, if I had to choose between a Parti Yorkie and Biewer and everything was exactly the same between them except the TAIL, the tail would be the deal breaker.

Their personalities are pretty much the same as my Yorkie, except she has a little more "tude" than they do. Since AprilLove is my first Yorkie or Terrier, I don't really know what people mean by "terrier" like attributes. But I don't think she acts terrierish (is that a word? lol), her and the Biewers are all laid back, but perhaps that is how I raised them, i dunno.

I have seen this video many times, and each time I see it, I love it. Each and every photo of your babies is gorgeous, and your babies are equally as beautiful as the images that you capture of them.

And that is why the threads get heated, because of statements like that. Every piece of history that has been documented and posted has been taken word for word from Old old books on the yorkie. It has not been made up and has not been invented. WE type it just as it is written. The links to the books are posted on the PYTC website. So is the letter Joan Gordon wrote to me saying that their are other colors of yorkies.
Geesh I guess your saying that Joan and Jan Gordon invented the history of the other colors and wrote them in their book. That they fabricated the part of them being born of several colors on Page 205 of their Book:The Complete Yorkshire Terrier

Definitely no animosity over this issue, not at all !

I did toss out the words 'anti and pro' - and I hope that didn't come off weird. I didn't mean 'anti' to imply something negative...being 'anti' something isn't a bad thing, just different from pro. Hope nobody took that the wrong way.

Having owned and bred both the Biewer and the Parti...the only thing IMO that sets them apart is the tail and the registration. I am 100% passionately devoted to the tri yorkie...whether it is a Biewer or a parti. With that said..since I prefer my tri yorkies with a docked tail and a silk coat, and AKC registration...I prefer the parti yorkie.
