Biewer or Parti? Which do you prefer?

We actually figured out, one time, with hawaii's requirements...a puppy would be 10 months when it entered the state.

I like colors, pink, white, tricolors mixed on parti yorkie or Biewer...
LOL 'standards' of all 'their' colors are, of course, equally beautiful.

Which proves a parti yorkie doesn't always have less color and markings. Many Biewers have all white bodies with one spot near the tail. Some have half white faces and white ears too. And just as your beautiful litter shows...parti's can have full black saddles and dark colors too. They are the same dog with the same parti gene...be it pie-bald or irish marked.

10 months...Wow....Why is that....is there a long quarantine period for some reason?

Rabies is non-existent in Hawaii....so an animal would enter a 6 month quarantine OR "fast tracked" with a quarantine of 1 - 5 days. In order to meet the requirements for the latter.... a rabies shot not less than 90 days before entering and then a blood test which must be completed 120 days out.

Puppy must also fly in cargo. They are taken directly from the airline to Hawaii's quarantine station.

Ok, you've got a deal.... bring me a baby. I actually think that is what I'll have to do someday, only the breeder would have to keep the pup for about 10-12 months for me to go thru all the stiff quarantine requirements to get into Hawaii. There are no breeders of Partis or Biewers in Hawaii that I know of, and I even checked on Oahu with the Pres. of the Yorkshire Terrier Club.

So I'll just dream on, looking at darling pictures with much envy.

How is "Madison" perfectly marked as a Biewer when there is no white and Biewers are req'd to have absolutely white legs?

Obviously I was talking about the Parti colored Yorkies in the litter. Madison is traditional colored as you can see in the photo.

Yes its too bad. I know sometimes members are afraid to post their opinions, for fear of being shot down. Was just hoping to see what the people who look for the tri-colors for pets prefer. Not a debate if its right or wrong, or standard, or meets a standard...blah blah blah ick. Just what the normal loving family, looking for a loving pet...prefers

She is an AKC registered Yorkie. So are her parti littermates.
