A Little Dissappointed

I must have worded that wrong she hasnt wanted a Yorkie she just wanted a puppy!! It was my decision to purchase a yorkie! Do you think it was a bad decision?

Has the puppy been for its vet check yet? Your vet will do a fecal and check for worms, then prescribe the appropriate medication.

We took our puppy to the vet today and yes they gave her a dewormer and treated her for fleas!! Oh and my daughter is 2 and she can say sentences up to 7 words sometimes more, and no she didnt say mommy I want a yorkie but she did say "mommy I want a puppy", she is very intelligent!! We spend alot of time talking with her which is how she caught on so fast. However ALL children develop at their own pace!!

The more you talk with your grandson the faster he will pick up and talk back with you!!

No she was purchased from a breeder. I'm so glad my daughter is much more mature than the kids out there. She will never harm anything!!!

This is something I can relate to, my daughter is 2 and she can actually have a small conversation with you in which we both understand eachother. Some children catch on fasted than others. Some parents become a little jealous. lol

Glad you took the pup to the vet and that everything will be ok. You asked if it's wrong to have gotten a Yorkie for a 2 year old. Just be careful as Yorkies are very fragile and need to be handled very delicately.

On another note:
What makes this post ludacris? Why even bring FB drama into this? I believe (and of course I could be wrong) that the OP was simply asking about worms. Who gets a Yorkie for a 2 year old? Probably someone who doesn't realize how fragile they are. I can read through this thread and see some very polite, yet direct constructive criticism and also some rudeness.

All of my kids were earlier talkers too, talking in complete sentences by the time they were 2 but none of them asked me out right for a puppy and I certianly wouldnt run right out and get them one. That being said. I got my toy poodle when my son was 3, she was about a pound then and although he was very gentle with her they were always under constant supervision, he always sat on the floor with her and I would never allow him to hold her and wallk around, he had to sit at all times. I would suggest you do the same with your own child. NEVER leave her alone with the puppy no mater how mature you feel she is all is takes is one drop to the floor or the pup being stepped out to seriously hurti the dog. Not a bad decision.. but you will have to be a little extra careful. The small yorkies need a little extra care. You daughter will never mean to hurt her but she may give her a bit of "extra" loves and hugs that could hurt the furbaby.
I am very careful when young children in the neighborhood want to pick up and hug Remy that's all.

girls talk sooner than boys. Also if you are with her a lot and talk to her she picks up speach faster. Both of my daughters were advance in speach.. putting words together in sentances before 2 years.
I think talking to, READING books (my passion is reading to children), and alway asking open ended questions or not answering their questions with a closed ended answer (why is the sky blue?... well WHY do YOU think the sky is blue?) when possible (doesn't work on math)

I agree.. good post. I think it was all well meaning but a little nosiy!!
