All of my kids were earlier talkers too, talking in complete sentences by the time they were 2 but none of them asked me out right for a puppy and I certianly wouldnt run right out and get them one. That being said. I got my toy poodle when my son was 3, she was about a pound then and although he was very gentle with her they were always under constant supervision, he always sat on the floor with her and I would never allow him to hold her and wallk around, he had to sit at all times. I would suggest you do the same with your own child. NEVER leave her alone with the puppy no mater how mature you feel she is all is takes is one drop to the floor or the pup being stepped out to seriously hurti the dog. Wishing you the best of luck with your new pup.
