| CONGRATS on your newest family member! I'm glad that your vet took care of the worms (I know that was worrisome....our rescue Peke came to us with them as well). Luckily, they are easy to treat. My children have grown up around Yorkies (from birth) and have never hurt any of them. They are now 7 & 6 and love having pets to care for. I think it's up to the parents to make sure that their children treat animals in a compassionate way and it sounds like you have done this. I hope you post pictures of your furbaby.
