| I brought home Jesse when Bailey was 15 months old. Jesse is 10 months older then Bailey and they are close in size as well, a great pair, I think it is much better with two!

| I have two female yorkies. When Sassy was a year old I adopted another for her to have someone to play with. They are the best buddies and play mates. They do every thing together. Play, eat, sleep and potty together. I think they would be lost with out each other now. I am glad that I adopted Patti. Linda, Sassy and Patti |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | I have 4 dogs...a senior dachshund (10), an SPCA mixed terrier (4), and 2 yorkies that I got 6 months apart from each other, one is 25 months old, & the other 18 months old. The yorkies are super-bonded to each other. The dachshund still treats the yorkies like her "pups", but nothing compares to how the yorkies are with each other. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...rkie-love.html

| I had to greatly weigh the pros/cons for myself. Originally, I was wanting to get another dog FOR Jackson but I think sometimes it can be a bad idea to do this just to give your current dog a friend. I had to think to myself... do *I* really want a second dog? Financially, could I afford to groom two, feed two, provide vet care? What if an emergency came up with both dogs at once... I probably couldn't afford it, to be honest. With my current lifestyle, I really enjoy bringing Jackson with me. I am a young single girl and I like to travel and when I can, I bring him with me. Every summer, we vacation to Gettysburg for example and he comes. I visit over my dads house once or twice a week and he has two dogs and a fenced in yard, etc. When I go to family members homes for holidays, I bring him with me, etc. He's my constant little companion and I really don't think I could do it with two of them. I know I will have a second eventually... but now is not the time. Yes, Jackson loves other dogs and he probably would be happier with a friend (or maybe not, you never know). But I make sure to get him to the dog park once a week, he visits my dads dogs often, we go for daily walks, etc, etc. He gets a lot of training, attention, socialization and doggy playdates. He's a very social dog so I'm not too concerned about it. I think I will know when the time is right but for now, I've learned to be very content with just Jackson and I.

| I prefer having two. When I am at work, I love knowing mine have company. I would hate to leave one alone all day. They are both small and easy to take with me when appropriate.

| I have 2 yorkies, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Jett (21 weeks old today) learns from his older sister Bella (1 year old tomorrow). They comfort each other, play with each other, sleep with each other, eat with each other. Everything is done together!! They are just like a little happily married couple! Its so entertaining to watch too!! And not to mention double the love!!!!!! Good luck in your decision!!!

| This is what I feel bad about- currently, I'm lucky that my schedule is so flexible and he's not home alone very often. But when I start working more, I will definitely be getting him into doggy daycare or getting another dog when the time is right. But on the other side of things, when we stay at my dads house for a few nights and all 3 dogs are out together... they simply sleep. They don't interact at all when we are not there (thanks to my dad monitoring system, we could see them!!) so then again, I don't really feel that bad just knowing he's sleeping anyways, LoL.

| So basically what everyone is saying here is I need to find a husband, then talk him into getting another Yorkie..... I know Teegy would be in heaven, but at the same time I need to think of the expense to me, it's not something that doesn't cross my mind regularly |

| It seems like many of you, when you have two yorkies, have a boy & a girl. Is there a reason for this? I have a girl and I'd like another girl. Would that be a problem? Both would be spayed.

| I have 2 boys and I LOVE THEM!!!! Now, they are still adjusting but I am confident in the end, they will be best pals. Right now my Snickers is tolerating Reesie!! They play together (it's hilarious)-they play tag, tug-o-war, and this crouching tiger game LOL!!! There ARE times Snickers does not want to be around Reesie and we respect that. Reesie is still a little rambunctious so when he calms down, I know things will get better. They spat once in a while and we put an end to it quick. I had to get another boy b/c my Snick doesn't get along well with terrier gals--he feels threatened. So we got our boy Reesie and are very happy. Viv

| Getting a second Yorkie was the best thing we ever did. Rio (female) was about 14 months old when we brought Bullet (male) home - he was 12 weeks. It took Rio about 2 weeks to accept him. At first Rio refused to sleep on our bed if Bullet was on our bed. 10 months later, they are inseparable. One thing to consider is the the expense, you want to be sure you can afford double the vet bills etc... We decided to stop at two - I wouldn't want to add a third and have to make a vet/health decision based on the fact that we can't afford it.

I've heard that having two females can be a challenge because fights tend to break out more. Then I heard spaying them might lessen that. My sister had two females (not spayed) - a french bulldog and a jack russell. They got along most of the time but when they fought, they drew blood. It got to the point that my sister had to rehome her frenchie.

| I have 2 yorkies and am adding another in May/June. I recently lost my oldest one and its far too lonely and quiet here. I would prolly have a dozen but our bylaw states max. 3 dogs in any one dwelling!! DARN! My girls get along great and form a pack when my daughters pom, chi, and brussels griffon come to visit. It's rather cute to see. I say go for it!!
