And you well-know that posting people's personal information on a forum without their permission is rude and border-line illegal. Its irresponsible of the breeder to post this, especially when we did nothing wrong!

Not irresponsible or illegal at all.....what is the fear of your name being posted?

Its private information that I should decide whether to post or not. When you give out your information to someone you trust them with it and you definitely trust that they will not go posting it on the Internet. Everyone sane knows this.

Why don't you explain WHY you wanted to sell her or return her as you say you did? (Not that it would make the contract any less binding..)

However, you posted that you had a Durrer dog for sale..... you did the same thing.....A Durrer dog is synomous with Betty Anne....so, in essence you posted her name. You were attempting to captilize on the Durrer prefix.

The real reason we are returning the puppy is not because of the german shepherd, they are not even in contact ever. They are kept separately because we know the dog may be too big to play with Roxy. That being said, our german shepherd is very sweet and gentle. I didn't post the real reason only because I didn't want to embarrass the breeders. They know the real reason and can post it here if they want to.

Attacking us for doing nothing wrong is not fair at all. We were just trying to find her a good home here and put the new potential owner in contact with Vicky and Betty Anne. There is no ill intent here and accusations are flying all over. Very unfair and immature of the breeder and everyone jumping on their side to support is just being blindly led without knowing the details.

Roxy is completely safe and happy... I decided to try to make things work, I wrote this to the breeder last night so I don't understand why she is starting all this. Anyway, she can pick her up if she is so inclined to take her away. No big loss here.

Again, I ask that you remove my full name from the post as you have no permission to post it in a public forum!
From the "no big loss" statement, it doesn't sound that you care that much about your little Yorkie puppy. I think you probably know in your heart what the right thing to do is and you will feel much better when you do it. And I do not think for one moment one needs to worry about a highly reputable Yorkie breeder not abiding by the terms of a contract.

Well, that really says it all doesn't it? If you are so indifferent then why wouldn't you just return her under the breeder's guidelines? What difference does it make when she was willing to refund the money? Why are you trying to sell her here? It really just make it seem like the only thing you care about is the money, not the welfare of this puppy.

Default addressing your remarks

Being honest, telling the breeder you had a german shephard at home,
would have cancelled any chance at all of obtaining a 3.6 pound
yorkie . The fact that you have them separated is totally
hard to fathom....and testament to the fact that there is reason
for concern having to keep them apart. That alone is obvious. There
is nothing I could ever imagine you could say , with regard to
embarrassment to betty ann or vicki...... they are far more
respected and recognized, than you obviously are even aware.

The reason you feel attacked here on this forum, is due to the fact
that you are overtly inexperienced, and not familiar with the law here in
our country, and in CKC.

With some legal background, your name was used ,only in reference
to the matter, involving a contract with which you were in direct breach , and in desperation to recover this puppy..there was no
deformation of character, with only the facts being stated.

In response to your comment about being attacked and "over reaction"
again this shows your lack of knowledge as to what these
reputable breeders go through raising this breed.

There usually a 5,000.00 breach of contract clause, however I feel that
vicki and betty anne are simply concerned with getting the pup back.

I hope this all is resolved very soon.....
as far as pointing a finger at those you view as over reacting,
your comment about "NO big loss" , is now being viewed by
many who see your remark as a tremendous loss of character
and credibility.

How bad a behavior issue can a 6 month old yorkie have? A responsible yorkie owner knows what to expect during the "terrible two's" and knows to seek help if they can't correct the behavior themselves. They are also keenly aware that behavior problems are often the results of the mistakes that they've made versus it being the dog.

I've also never seen a good breeder contract that gives the full purchase price of the dog back before a new (approved) home is found for the dog. I think it's pretty unreasonable to expect it.

PS. To anyone that thinks this is a breach of contract -- its not, first we haven't even sold her. Second, there is no clause for resale and third, if we did find a buyer it would happen only through Vicky/Betty Anne anyway.

We are returning her to Vicki. Take it easy everyone... try to read between the lines sometimes.

And the reason I said its "no big loss here" is a hint at the behavioural issue the dog has. I think I'll stick to German Shepherds.
How dare you say a puppy is "NO BIG LOSS HERE" because of some alledged behavioral issues. You are a mean-spirited person...you should not be allowed to have any dog!!!!!! You are toxic!!!!!

Yes, this is what was in Joey's contract, and I was not able to sell or rehome the dog without his breeders permission. She can come and take him back at any time. At first this bothered me, but then I realized I love that idea, she really cares about the dogs she produces.

We must remember that a breeder usually can't get as much for a 6 month old puppy as she can a 12 week old puppy.
