| ![]() Himalayan chews are hard, and somewhat brittle (they will break if you drop from a height on a hard surface), yet soften with chewing. Antlers are very hard. Obviously, deer fight with them and they sustain harsh blows without breaking. ZoE's vet does not recommend antlers as chew toys, so we have never used them. I have used himalyan chews before. ZoE was not super keen on them, and As I said prior, they are brittle. Two broke in half, (one falling off the counter, one falling off the couch, both onto wood flooring) resulting in small pieces I didn't feel comfortable with her chewing, as they posed a choking hazard due to the small size.

![]() I also discovered my little guy loves lamb femur bones. A local grocery store carries smaller ones in their pet aisle that are more appropriate for his size, but I usually won't let him have it for too long because he'll eat himself sick. That usually prompts some growling when it has to be taken away. ![]() With any chews or toys, I always supervise. I have been curious about antlers and Himalayan chews but judging by how Huey reacts to harder non-edible bones (does't like them) I don't think he'd be interested.

![]() I used to use the Himalayan chews, but found they are really hard. But I did find something called Yacky Puffs. They are the same good nutritional stuff but not as hard. Kind of crispy. Lexi likes these just the same. I also just ordered my first CET chews. She seemed to like it, but I was watching very closely. Have to get used to how she does with the.

![]() They are pretty long lasting. I buy them in a pet food store (not Petsmart). They are usually right next to the Himalayan chews. They are smaller about 1-2 inches long, than the Himalayan chews, but not nearly as hard. Maybe they are available online too?

![]() My little Piper girl likes to chew, but is very particular. I'm so hoping to find her something safe, that she enjoys, that will take her a little while...I very much appreciate your suggestions. Ride in the car, shopping and searching for treats?! Oh, we got this! Thank you again!
