Himalayan chews are hard, and somewhat brittle (they will break if you drop from a height on a hard surface), yet soften with chewing. Antlers are very hard. Obviously, deer fight with them and they sustain harsh blows without breaking.

ZoE's vet does not recommend antlers as chew toys, so we have never used them.

I have used himalyan chews before. ZoE was not super keen on them, and As I said prior, they are brittle. Two broke in half, (one falling off the counter, one falling off the couch, both onto wood flooring) resulting in small pieces I didn't feel comfortable with her chewing, as they posed a choking hazard due to the small size.
