| Hi Everyone, I know these Pictures are very disturbing, we have to get the word out about these people! I am one of the owners of a puppymill furbaby. My Maltese came from Tennesse and I should have seen the signs when I bought her. The lady wouldn't let me in her home to see the parents of my Libby. (I have never regretted getting my libby) she is a wonderful, sweet furbaby. If anyone knows about this place ( Hollybelles) in Tennessee you know she is shut down now and most of the babies has been adopted. There was a really big write up in the paper( http://hollybellemaltese.com/012904.html) This site isn't all of it.. They had pictures just like the ones posted on here.. It made you cry. I never really pressed charges against This ( Jennifer) whom she used all kinds of diffrent names. My maltese Libby was sick two days after I got her home. Thank God it wasn't bad. I tried an Tried to get ahold of Jennifer and never did. So we have to stop this! This is Reality and we have to get these back yard breeders to stop. My two cents worth.. sorry but I had to vent also! Brenda, Bobo& Max & libby |

| i would also just like to say the other thing that really needs to be stopped is the countrys that eat dogs and cats have any of you seen video or pics of what they do to them? it is horrible, cats being put in to boiling water still alive and dogs being killed by hitting there heads on a wall if you have a strong tummy then do a search on this subject and maybe if we all come together to stop it we can.

| I don't know where to begin so forgive me if I ramble a bit. I have consider myself a pet lover all my life and have always made every effort to provide to my pets the utmost care and love and attention. I, like most Americans had never heard of these monstrousities (sp) that occur in these mills untill Ninna came to my life. I purchased her from a "broker" in the Miami area that goes by the name of wizard of claws/puppies by the net. They insist that the purchase their puppies from select local breeders and place the dogs in homes thruout South Florida, USA and international homes. I paid $$$ for her and then took her to my vet who informed me of what bad reputation they have. After doing a little research on them this is what I found: www.stopwizardofclaws.com . And later when reviewing Ninna's AKC papers my heart sank to the floor when I noticed the name of the "select breeder" was the Halpains in Oklahoma - (9/27/2000) Animal Inventory - Adult breeding dogs - 93, Puppies 25.. Need in say more... So while she appears healthy for now, everytime I look at her I cannot see further than those gross images in my mind and how her life is at risk of some defect that may come up later in life. As you can see there have been many attempts to stop these people but as of today nothing... If there is anything I can help out please please count me in. I would love to join with your efforts to make a difference, no matter how small... Quote:

| Of course I would rather cut my left arm than ever buy a puppy from a pet store ever again... I will never again support those gruesome puppy mills.

oh girl - Your vet knew what he was talking about didn't he ??? THE WOC needs to be permantly banned from even being around animals ...they just see them as a way to support themselves no matter what the cost to dogs lives....it IS sick isn't it that this country even lets this continue ??? I'm so glad you have a happy healthy girl..I can imagine what went thru your mind when you found out...which is why THESE BOARDS Are so good to get out information like this - no matter if it's our opinions or we know someone who has dealt with these kinds of people - the best buyer is an informed buyer and if no one talked about this - then it would just continue...business as usual. And you CAN do something - you can email letters - I've done many myself....You just make a master letter - then copy and paste it to anyone you think may read it - even if they dont - the more that get out the better - it only takes ONE PERSON in power to get mad enough to get the ball rolling for stricter regulations for mass breeders

| One thing that members who have purchased puppies from pet stores can do is to try to check the AKC registration then try to visit the breeder. Then file complaints with the proper authorities about the breeder as well as the pet store. My shih tzu is a rescue and it took a long time to get her over some of the psychological problems she had. Some problems she will never get over. Her mother had to be put down along with several other dogs. Sigh. Some human beings are the cruelest creatures on earth. |

And if possible, we as animal loves need to think of doing something to stop all the animal abuse that these puppy hell mills have become to all the animals still being jailed there. All those voiceless, innocent dog parents and puppies deserve at least that much...

| I cannot stand to see those poor babies living the way they do. I get chills and runny eyes when i read about mills, but seeing pictures makes me so sick! How can people do that and justify themselves! Some people are disgusting! Im so glad, that people are getting informed, and i really hope that we can all spread the word to our friends and family. I sent a letter to my congressman earlier. Hopefully one day these little guys can live in peace. |

sometimes I sit outside and just get so sad thinking of the dogs freezing in their wire cages - it's just haunting. I wish I knew what I could do in person - and have asked around locally - but no one seems to really have answers

What if each of us copied one of these horror stories that are out there and started emailing them to everyone on our list. It might be more effective then making up our own letters. It's bound to make some impact. It will make people think anyway.
