I agree with Bri, you shouldn't be so hard on the Chihuhua breed, they are smart and cute little dogs. I know you were probably upset when you wrote this.. Next time just think before you say something. Remember this is a DOG THREAD, We LOVE YORKIES here, but we also love all dog breeds.

I tottaly understand what you are going through, My DH decided to take our yorkie Pnut to the groomers, he told her that he wanted his dog to look like his head ( which is shaved) I had no idea this was taking place.. Well when I got home I didnt even realize Pnut was my dog, he was 100% shaved down to his whiskers...and Yes he looked like a Chihuhua!! We laugh at it now, but Dh is no longer in charge of the grooming! hehe

For what it is worth he is still your baby, no matter how sort his hair is. You have a right to be upset, but take this as a lesson and do some research on groomers, ask around.

With that said, it always sucks to get a bad haircut. Jackson had two and we finally found a really good mobile groomer who comes to our house and always does exactly what I ask. I am soooo glad to have found her. I am happy with her services and so is Jackson- try to look for a mobile groomer. I like it better because it's one-on-one. I don't stay in w/ him but I can peek through the window. Your little guy still looks very adorable! And it's hair, it will grow back

I really can't speak for the OP but if I offended anyone I truly apologize. I was only referring to the original post. I read and re-read her original post and honestly cannot find the words "dumb" and "stupid" anywhere. I do not see where she called them names. Did I miss a post or something?

Too funny!! Not funny cuz went thru this but funny cuz i had such a similar experience. I dropped my boys off at the groomers, and 1 hour later....YES ONE HOUR! which caused for alarm cuz it was so soon, they said they were ready!!! I stayed in the car, (broken ankle) and I watched in horror as my boyfriend walked back with 2 chiauwawas!!!!! They were totally shaved. Yes they were notty but not to a point were they has to shave down , including their faces to their skin!!! My babies, ages 1 1/2 years old hated it too. They wouldnt go outside and they constantly shaked! Poor max had a spot that was so shaved down, he itched and licked it RAW. You could totally tell they felt uncomfortable. I didnt demand my money back. My boyfriend even tipped her $20.00..........But obviously i will never go back there. Those roomers were LAZY and didnt want to take the time to snip and cut out the gnarly areas. I mean to shave theur faces??? NOT NECESSARY. Good news is, its been a month and my sweet boys look darling. Their hair is smooth, thick and silky. At least it will grow back even and remember that IT DOES GROW BACK. my neighbors joke that it lookslike there are baby deer runing thru my back yard. They totally look like bambi, no joke!! I gotta get some pics on here. Im so technology challenged....How do i do that??

I found the comment rude also. I have 2 long hair chihuahuas that I absolutely adore. I know she was upset though so i kinda thought, not nice but ok just ignore it.
The pic of the yorkie is cute, infact it is usually the way we have Gypsy cut on purpose. I can not afford a lot of grooming and just can not stand to do it myself though we do occasiionally give them a bath. When her eyes start being invisable, to the groomer's she goes. The only time we had trouble we had was when we took Puff, one of our lh chis. We told them NOT to cut her tail. It looks like a flag and we love the look of it. When we picked her up, the hair was cut. We were told there must have been mats in it (wasn't we are sure) and that the manager herself did it, but conveniently she was gone for the day when we picked up Puff. They even saw where it was written on the sheet. We went back next time and have had no problem again.

I think she was upset. And most of you know Lucy is a chihuahua and Marcie is my Yorkie. Since this is YT. Lucy is in my album page only. However, I think all of us love all fur babies.

Aww Dolce, what did that evil groomer do to your topknot? I'm sure it took a long time to grow that & now you have to wait even longer to get it back. That's why I don't take my baby to the groomers & groom Tessa myself. I would definitely look for another groomer, one that can do their job right. Hope you feel better

I think he looks real cute and don't worry his hair will grow back soon enough. I love my groomer. She told me right out front that she couldn't cut Zach's hair the way I wanted it because he was too matted. She had to shave him down but he came out looking so cute. I might just keep him this way because he is such a slob and loves to roll around in the dirt when he goes out.

$65.00 for a TRIM??? I'm in the wrong business...........holy crap! The hair will grow back soon, so in the meantime, get a grooming video and just groom him yourself.

I'm reading the messages and I do apologize if people took my "moment" lol last night as that I was being rude. I was very upset. Dolce is my child and I came here to vent to my friends as if I would do if I took my human child to a salon and she came bk with something totally different from what you paid for. I understand that it is here but last night I could not grasp that. But for people to assume my profanity as an insult on chi's was not the case. I was simply implying that when she brought me my son with his ears being as erect as they are lol and him being shaved, that yes he looked like a chi. As Ive noticed that I was quoted that I was calling chi's dumb, I said no such thing. I used the word dAmb and being upset dAmb came in front of chi's however dAmb came in front of money and many more words lol, but some I guess felt that I was extremely rude. I come here to enjoy myself and get to know people and their pets. I am not on here to start drama or to be rude. When I came on here last night, I came to vent, I needed to hear from people who have fur babies that they love N adore. To cry it out with u guys. I've read other post when it seems that some may get offended by a comment and the post seems to go everywhere than what the person had initially came and posted. So with that said again I'm sorry if it offended people that read this post. As someone has commented I should had read my post before I submitted it, however I didn't read my post because when ur upset like I was I typed in the moment.

Yes I did pay 65 lol for a " spa", I was all excited to take him there. I actually had three people who are a regular customers at this particular place and I ran into one of them on Saturday and she called the groomer who lol squeezed us in. I figured that she didn't have a problem so hey why not give it a try. Lol

Thank you he is a sweetie, Hubby had to get him a sweater because today of all days it was windy outside so his little body was shaking up a storm.

I was actually trimming him myself but I figured hey let's try it professionally. I sent the girl who I had ran into and she said she had heard, that the groomer made an honest mistake, and I'm over it today. Yesterday i had to literally pull over and cry because i felt that I let him down,lol. This is not my first dog as we have an bulldog here, and I never thought I would be a person who could love an animal like I do him, so yes I was upset and I just needed that, reassurance.

No, I wrote dAmb as: like turn the damb tv off. Or , gurl, those dAmb shoes are hot. Again I'm sorry if my profanity offended u. However I did not mean dumb. I was expressing anger, and it was directed at no one or thing. I simply placed a curse word in front of chi and now I have u and other people on here thinking I was being rude, which Wasn't the case.
