OR she purchased good bloodlines in order to (hopefully) bring about a high quality puppies, thus bettering the breed. That's a possibility too.
I would agree, that simply means she doesn't show Yorkies.

Just wondering.
It could but from the other dogs in her breeding program who have not been genetically tested.

be glad he is healthy...but still...to be fair the site didn't look anything like it does now-personally I feel her site is far more honest now, it used to have the guarantee, health checks certs, show awards, numerous accolades listed and glamor shots of mom's and pups...so you never know...I'd always trust you gut...but also verify everything. We learn the hard way sometimes right?

She just has a LOT of puppies a year and a lot of breeding females(I think 12). I also have Remy's limited AKC papers and all other records.

I would agree it would have been nice if she'd had shown a little more concern for the puppy's urinating issue. Did she suggest you take it to the vet and let her know the outcome? I don't know the details of the urinating issue, but maybe she thought it was just that excited puppy peeing thing that some have and outgrow???
I know a couple of mine when puppies would get so excited when I came home they'd start peeing...but of course outgrew.

Well, she didn't know which puppy I was talking about. So there goes to show how many pups she is putting out. All she said was that She never noticed it when he was with her. I sent her back another email but no reply. She didn't suggest bringing him to the vet or anything. I explained that it wasn't just a puppy getting excited. He would go to sleep in his bed, on my lap, and would pee in his sleep without ever waking up. The vet checked him out and thankfully he didn't have any problems. He outgrew it about a month late. Very weird.. I have other dogs and this was never a problem. Oh well, I know Remy is mine now and I cannot depend on this breeder for anything.

YT is the best! And your Remy is sooo precious. Makes me want a girl yorkie so bad . It's a good thing my Remy doesn't mind wearing clothes and me playing with his hair or I would have to get a girl !

Superficially who knows good bad either-I'd not the word teacup is used...and there's tons of glamor shots (thankfully no soda can pics) but none of the facility, the pups with mom, or pups being pups dogs being dogs-I no likey-but that's my prerogative.

It happens and I know how you feel-it stinks-but we love our babies! Not only research asking Q's but verifying people

Elvis came from a bad breeder same deal asked all the questions she gave all the right answers, she asked me apparently I did too...

Elvis arrived:

bad teeth
worms-whip worms he had all 3 stages present in his within 48hr vet health check
tons of flea poop on him,
he's arthritic-needs supplements his joint all pop @ 2 yrs! Not breeding quality!
his AKC papers never arrived-she refused to send the limited registration even!
his full veterinary records never arrive as promised (he was 2 yrs) when adopted
he was wearing a tight collar in the kennel! It was well worn-collar and his neck!
he wasn't microchipped
had x & o dyed kibble in the bowl not Eukanuba
Well I let it all go right she had tons of excuses and was going to get it all to me and back to me! I should have freaked then but how could I send him back to that?

A couple months after he had three seizures in a day-trip to the ER and numerous calls to the breeder-she blamed them on me immediately and then said the worms were from me too, she'd had enough from me! Then offered me a replacement puppy!

She said she was re-homing him because he was almost 10 pounds-too large to breed with her 5-6pound females...I thought that was responsible and adopted him...then after the replacement pup comments she says, "oh no my female just had two babies...I bred them before I put him up for adoption." WHAT!? She was such a LIAR

Oh it went on from there...she later ended all contact after a big mess offering me another pup and sending me pics of pup and moms in cages! I felt sick! She refused to let the vet release his records...I think she knew he was epileptic and she lied about all her breeding practices...literally everyone of her females was pregnant or just delivered within three months of my getting Elvis she told me she only has two litters a year-not 7-12 and she still lists MY Elvis as a stud on her web site saying he is the father of current pups she sells!
[BI doubt she warned the buyers of his pups they may be epileptic having cluster seizures like Elvis does!
[/B]
Elvis had the neurology consult-I wasn't getting another pup from her, wasn't sending him back, never asked for vet money coverage, nothing we ceased contact I just wanted to let her know how he was-she didn't even care to know-she had told me prior he was her favorite but she just had too many to give individual attention and since he was too large for her breeding program she needed to ensure he went to a good home and each dog got the attention they needed-WELL HE DID GO TO A GOOD HOME FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HIS LIFE!

Don't get a pup here either-notice MY Elvis still listed Elaina Shelborne is a Greeder LIAR! She's just very good at deception-I listed her FB too as she often uses that to sell pups when she doesn't use her site, puppyfinder and those at dog shows-she doesn't show she just claims to.

Did you ever report her? I know there are some sites online.... that when people are trying to research a specific breeder it will take them to that site..and they can read all about your terrible experience with this unscrupulous breeder!!!

I'm so sorry you had such a TERRIBLE time with such an outright awful person!!!! The good thing is every time you put her name out there...people searching online will be directed to sites like this!!!

Sorry I meant to include the link!

I really think it's important if anyone has a bad experience with a breeder that they 'get the word out'. This will not only warn away future potential buyers....and 'victims'...of this breeder....but hopefully will shine a SPOTLIGHT on their unscrupulous practices and operation!!!

At best it could put them out of business!

BAD Dog Breeders Complaints - Bad Breeders, Hip Dysplasia, Bacteria, Dogs dying, cancer

I guess I better include....Please be careful....because you don't want to put yourself in a situation of being sued for defamation of character! But if you're telling the absolute truth..then how can they win?

I confess I don't understand the whole "buy a breeder not a pup" attitude. I'm buying a pup. The pup is gonna live with me every day. The pup is the one I'm responsible for for the next 15+ years (hopefully).

I have a new pup, who came to me clean, healthy & sound and received a clean bill of health from my vet. That makes me a happy new pup owner.

As long as I'm buying a puppy from someone's pet, and not a pet store or puppymill, what is the issue? What am I missing???
What you are missing is this....I am the type breeder who winds up doing the orginial breeders job. I can not begin to count the calls I used to get from a new puppy buyer asking for help, to answer questions and give suggestions.
Why...because the breeder was not interested in the pup or buyer after the sale...
First of all, I never gave papers for at least 2 weeks, sometimes 4 to make sure the owner was happy with the puppy...and during that time I want to know how it is going...and to possibly nip a problem in the bud.

I just wanted to add on here why is Champion bred such a big deal if you are looking for a pet...yes yes I understand breed improvement, but I think genetic testing, health testing, OFA and other certifications of breeding stock along with a proven claim of "took second place in everything" is better...most Champion Bloodline claims are false...not saying that about this breeder, just saying.

I'm so sorry you had such a TERRIBLE time with such an outright awful person!!!! The good thing is every time you put her name out there...people searching online will be directed to sites like this!!!
1.I sent her pics to her local animal control, they were not borderline, but shocking.
2. I made a report to the AKC sending them ALL our correspondence.
They do not give out advice, mediate but they do take records. i will make reports to every and any other forum I find thank you everyone for listing some more.
3.I also did a review of her on puppyfinder & believe it or not the BBB.
4.I post about her on YT every chance I get.

5.I do have the opportunity to sue her, but she's in a different state and after having an attorney look up DE's laws and our contract-her guarantee states at the beginning this applies to all pups bred by me, well she had me sign it and send it back to her...but she also told me she got Elvis from Terry Castonguay, which actually voided our entire contract and health guarantee...SNEAKY SNEAKY. My options were to send Elvis back and sue for a full refund, which would cost me in legal fees I could re-coop later...or spend my money on Elvis' medical care...Well, he's been an expensive rescue I purchased from a Greeder...
6.I can also just sue her for the records AKC and vet...but that's more money and just not worth it to me at this point...I did his medical care here and she can keep his AKC papers...
Later I was told that Terry Constonguay ended her Parti line because of genetic issues and Elaina referred me to her to actually to try and make her responsible...what a mess right?...I did correspond with Terry, just asking what possible medical issues she may have had in her line...she denies it saying she just ended her line because she did. After just over 15 years of breeding the same line, she said she had never once produced a sick pup-but she just spontaneously ended her line and purchased a line from someone else...Terry too didn't even seem to care who I was or what was going on with Elvis a pup she bred! She just said hope you figure out what is wrong with him...best of luck (at that time we didn't know it was epilepsy, we just knew he was having seizures, he was still getting all the testing done).

At least she ended the line...and let me know Elvis' litter was actually the last parti litter she had...things that make you say hmmm...but again admission of genetic issues or not at least she ended the line and people stopped filing reports to the AKC about having gotten Parti Yorkies with neurological and LS issues against her...

I'm not looking to buy a pup, but am just very curious about the sale of yorkies. I think that I bought Princess from a reputable breeder but since we lived hours away she brought the pup to me on her way out of town. Princess is very healthy (knock on wood)& weighs 6.9 lbs. But since learning about byb, etc. here on yt I guess I just don't know for sure what kind of breeder she is.
I do have one question however, I'd just like another opinion on this site I found.... Yorkie Puppies for Sale | Yorkie Breeder Network | Buy a Yorkie Puppy .....is this a puppy mill? If it is that's just scary how deceiving they could be to someone unknowing....

It looks like one huge broker website. i googled the phone number found this complaint Premium Breeders – genetic disabled dog/ scam | claims - complaints - scams | BizClaims - latest scams frauds & complaints
You always want to deal directly with the breeder not someone representing a breeder or selling for a breeder.
