I think Remy came from a bad breeder:( I always thought Remy came from a decent breeder. I didn't know as much as I do now, thanks to YT! I don't think I would buy from this breeder again. She asked me all the right questions before I got Remy. Seemed like she knew a lot and was concerned where her puppies went. Well, When Remy was a baby I contacted her because Remy was peeing on himself as a baby. She said he didn't do this when he was in her care. She didn't seem to care and was very short. So I took him to the vet. Thankfully, he grew out of it. I sent her an email with an updated picture and told her how he was doing. It's been a few days and I haven't got a response. She has a lot of yorkies but the babies are born and raised in the house, I saw this. I'm just not to sure what to think anymore. I want another yorkie one day but I believe I will go the rescue route next time. Here is her website. If anyone has any info about it or has a puppy from here. Or if you have opinions about, I would love to hear. Thanks!! Teacup Yorkie Puppies For Sale in Lousiana Yorkie Breeder Yorkshire Terrier puppies for sale Dream Maker Yorkies |
You said she has a lot of Yorkies...that can mean a lot of puppies...if each buyer calls her once a week or even once a month, she will be on the phone for hours...that is usually why a high volume breeders sells and hopes to never heard from the buyer again...sad, but true. |
How to chose a Reputable Breeder..... I think that maybe you should read this thread, and click on the link to review the self questions and questioning techniques you can employ when searching for your next breeder. I only reviewed her site briefly and what was apparent to me is that she does not champion her own male dogs. |
well the first "red" flag I see is the LINK to her site....she advertises Teacup yorkies! No reputable breeder uses the word teacup!! That is a selling tactic of byb's or puppy mills... I would NOT buy from her again!! Her attitude when you called her..is not the typical attitude of a GOOD breeder! :( Good Breeders WANT to know how their babies are doing...and are NEVER annoyed to hear from their buyers.:) Don't feel bad....I've been educated since I joined YT myself....and I won't make those same mistakes again in the future. |
I didn't click on the link - the first words "teacup yorkie puppies for sale" tells me enough. |

Like the other poster mentioned....she didn't "champion" her male dogs...she didn't talk of their history and breeding lines...which is a flag meaning 1. either she doesn't know...or B she doesn't want anyone else to know! |

She also advertises a Health Guarantee but does NOT show the guarantee on the site. It has been my experience that a Reputable & Good breeder WILL put the health guarantee on site for you to view. |

Is Remy a healthy, sound pup or does he have health issues? I confess I don't understand the whole "buy a breeder not a pup" attitude. I'm buying a pup. The pup is gonna live with me every day. The pup is the one I'm responsible for for the next 15+ years (hopefully). I have a new pup, who came to me clean, healthy & sound and received a clean bill of health from my vet. That makes me a happy new pup owner. :) As long as I'm buying a puppy from someone's pet, and not a pet store or puppymill, what is the issue? What am I missing??? |
I completely know how you feel. I had bought Silver way before I knew anything about byb's and teacups not being real, and so on. After I bought Silver I found YT. I'm so glad I did because even though the owner of Silver's parents seemed nice she was just concerned with money in my opinion. We got to see Silver's mom and dad and those were the only yorkie's she owned but she sold her to us at 6wks and was only ckc registered. I wouldn't trade Silver for anything in the world but I know what to look for next time. |
