| Do you think ears this droopy will ever stand up? This is the puppy I am planning on getting... her little face is so cute, but her ears are so flopsy! I'm wondering if you guys think they'll ever stand up... not that it matters that much, I'm still going to get her! But I'd like opinions!

| It is hard to tell from that picture but it looks like they are trying to come up. It looks like they need to be shaved. How old is she? When puppies teeth the ears will go up and down. Sometimes the ears won't come up until the pups are 4 months old or older. You might want to ask the breeder to shave her ears.

| She'll be 8 weeks on Sunday, still very young. Good idea about shaving her ears, I'll have to get her to the groomer for a little trim after I pick her up Thanks for the idea!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Maybe ask the breeder to shave her ears now to help get the weight off. She is a cutie.

| Remy's ears were very flopped over at 12 weeks, you can see a pic in my album. We shaved them and taped them but not religiously. They stood up perfect after all! I wouldn't worry about it too much she is adorable!!

| It looks like her ears are heavy and shaving them would be great, the breeder should do this for you...and it looks like you might just have to tape hers to get them to stand...Joey wore blue painters tape on his ears until he was about 16 weeks old...I would tape them and leave them up for 3 days...the third day take off the tape and they would stand for about 12 to 24 hours then drop back down...at 15 weeks they would stay up for a day or so then back down...after the 16th week they started standing pretty much all the time until he would get tired... then after nap they would perk back up....But she is adorable....and looks soooo sweet. Lucky her and you!!!! |

| She is beautiful. Good luck with the ears. I have one who has one ear up perfect and one floppy ear. SHe is beautiful but we are currently trying the tpae method. I probably waited too late to try it but we will see. I wanted to give her a chance to do it on her own. She is 8 mos old now. If it does not stand up all the time it will not change how much I love her.

| She is so cute, I bet you are excited to get her home. Sophie Kate has the strangest ears, they stand up expect for the tips which flop over. I tried the shaving when she was a baby but I think I waited to late (I got her when she was 14 weeks old and didn't start right away).

| Dinky's ears are less floppy at almost a year than they used to be, and I think taping might have worked or him. When we picked him up, he had his ears taped up. We stopped on the way home to get him a new collar. I went into the store for it, and DH waited with him in the car. I got to the car to find DH tenderly removing the tape from this tiny puppy's ear. He was crooning to him about getting that nasty tape off. DH had not been as keen on getting a dog, but within 20 minutes was already in love with the floppy ears, so my decision was made. By the time we got home, we were in love with his nose, tail, paws, and button eyes as well. Anyway, from what I've read on YT taping can be pretty effective. I hold Dink's ears up now and then to check out that look on him. Yep, he's still adorably adorable! |
