| YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Razz goes out to pee or poo in all weather. We keep under our awing an area always cleared for him to go. In terms of walks, I've found that at about -10 or so F he does get cold even with booties and coat on. We have a damp cold here in Toronto, so I don't schedule him for a long walk, maybe about 15-20 minutes or so, if it is really that cold. Just at freezing no problem, we go out for about an hour, although he is dressed for it. Oh yes if you see they are really cold, I just pick up and put in my parka. He stays lovely n warm there.

| Dinky continues to pee outside, but he will poo in a crate when it is really cold. (on a pee pad). What we all really miss is the daily walk outside. Throwing the squeaky toy 100 times a day just does not provide the same kind of exercise. |

| We walked today and it was about 29 degrees. We didn't walk for long; just enough to get everyone out of the house for a few minutes. Sweaters for all!

| If it is too cold for me, it is too cold for them. They are used to potty pads so they just have to use them. They like to go out and run and play but I refuse to take them when it goes below 30. I have hawks also and owls so I want take out in the dark. They are never out unless someone is with them. |

| I love all these replies!!! <3 Well this at least assures me it's okay taking my baby outside in whatever weather (except heavy rain, because we both don't like going outside in that weather). We're suppose to get a dusting to an inch of snow so hopefully I can see how he'll react to that! |

| We just did too! He really does enjoy his walks, and he's really good about being off leash and seems to venture further away from me when he's actually on a leash. Lol! |

| My pups never go out alone. Max will not use pee pads so he always has to got outside to potty if it is not below 25. He needs to go out or he will go on the kitchen floor. Even if it is just off the front porch and in the yard. Had to keep a path shoveled for him. He will not use pads. He does not let you see him go potty inside. Mickey does what he wants. There is always a pee pad in the laundry room if he needs to go. He does not like it outside when it gets under about 30 degrees. Even with a coat on he looks at me like I am nuts. Any other time he is happy to go outside to walk and potty. He is proud when he goes on his pads and wants a treat for trotting back there and going. Love it! Smart boy! If it is way too cold for me to venture out to take them (under 25) then I just keep them in. Mickey will use his pads willingly. Max...kitchen floor.

| Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | -5 is my limit for walks -- and then they have heavy coats and booties on. We don't get much colder than that these days, but they've run out for a quick pee at -15. I shovel off the back deck and let them go close to the door. Jillie is the only one pad trained, and she definitely uses it more when it gets cold. I think her own limit is about 10 degrees. Colder than that, she uses the pad more often.
