My pups never go out alone.
Max will not use pee pads so he always has to got outside to potty if it is not below 25. He needs to go out or he will go on the kitchen floor. Even if it is just off the front porch and in the yard. Had to keep a path shoveled for him. He will not use pads. He does not let you see him go potty inside.
Mickey does what he wants. There is always a pee pad in the laundry room if he needs to go. He does not like it outside when it gets under about 30 degrees. Even with a coat on he looks at me like I am nuts. Any other time he is happy to go outside to walk and potty. He is proud when he goes on his pads and wants a treat for trotting back there and going. Love it! Smart boy!
If it is way too cold for me to venture out to take them (under 25) then I just keep them in.
Mickey will use his pads willingly.
