But she doesn't "know" her mommy when she sees her. She just knows she's seen her before. Anyway, Kacee knows everyone (and she has lots of friends) by their names and their voices. She doesn't have to sniff them to know who it is. If she hears them or someone says their name, then she's off to greet them!

| Thank you for all your replys. Poppy is up to date with all her shots yes. and after looking through my ''Poppy is Home'' thread really upset me and i seen how paniced i was and how he did that to me and i really dont think i would want to see him again. Your also right with his other intentions my OH said he might want to see Poppy to try and breed her because he is not going to breed his dog any more. I know he said he is finished with breeding because it was to stressful but at 500pounds a puppy he might just be telling me anything so he can breed again and make more money. The trouble is i am to soft and give in easy so when he said sorry i was ready to forgive and forget but after having a good think about it i really dont think it would be the best idea to go and see him. Thank you ALL for your advice xxxx

| I personally wouldn't be able to trust them again, no matter what they said. I think you are making the right decision, and I'm sure Poppy would enjoy playdates with other yorkies that aren't necessarily her mom.

| I think you should do what you feel is right. No one can tell you what to do. I personally would forgive, not forget, but forgive and move forward. JMO.. |

| I would not keep contact for all the reasons others have listed here already.

| That is not true. I've had reunions with past puppy buyers and they remember their mom, they would head straight for them and then the mom would start washing their faces like she use to when they were just babies. One mother and son went crazy being able to see each other again. However it isn't that way with many of them though, I've had that as well. I also have 3 sets of mothers and daughters here. Their mothers still wash their faces every night and you can tell they know who their mothers are. I would be hesitant to go as well, it sounds skeptical and fishy to me why the change all the sudden.

| Haha i wish i had been somewhere else too when the 'poppy is home' tread was going on it was a horrible time, which it should of been a time of joy and excitement. I've been told i am quite naive and i believe anything people tell me, which is probs why i ended up with poppy at 5weeks old in the first place. I didnt think of his intentions where when he first called up i just thought he wanted to say he was sorry so thank you all for making me open my eyes a little. What age can i get Poppy spayed 6months old? Think i will give my vet a call tomorrow and see what he can advise about that. Better start saving now hehe!! God i really love this forum!! I dont think your ever going to be rid of me xxx

| Definitely call your vet about spaying Poppy. 6 months old is OK for some Yorkies, depends on their size. Oh - and we don't want to get rid of you!

![]() It depends on the size she gets to be for one thing. Another thing is that I like to wait until their permanent teeth are through coming through, so that if any of the baby teeth need to be removed then they can do the spay and remove the teeth at one time. That way she wouldn't need to be anesthetized more than once. It can be risky. Ask your vet what their recommendations are for size. 6 months is a good age to do it, except some are still getting their permanent teeth. Can't tell if all of the baby teeth will fall out by then on some of them.

| I just read through this whole thread and I'm busy with "Poppy is Home!!!" and I really don't think you should go over to his house. The other members are right, something seems very fishy about him calling up and apologizing all of a sudden. And I think you didn't suspect his motives because if you were in his position, you would feel guilty and phone the person to apologize. But a lot of people don't operate that way and they simply don't feel guilty. I don't understand it and you probably won't either, but there are some terrible people out there. You've already made the right decision and I totally agree. If I were in your shoes, I'd actually phone him and explain why you aren't going over. I'd read the other thread and build up some courage, and then be totally honest about why you don't want any contact with him. You can maybe forgive and forget, but that doesn't mean that you have to open yourself up to unscrupulous people! Protect yourself and Poppy

| I remember your threads about Poppy and how upset you were. I agree with the others that if I were you I would not bring Poppy over to this person's house. Something does seem very odd about the whole thing. I would be completely honest and tell them why you don't wish to have further in-person contact. I'm not sure I would even continue to update him via email or phone either, but that's just me. Be strong in your decision!
