That is not true. I've had reunions with past puppy buyers and they remember their mom, they would head straight for them and then the mom would start washing their faces like she use to when they were just babies. One mother and son went crazy being able to see each other again.
However it isn't that way with many of them though, I've had that as well.
I also have 3 sets of mothers and daughters here. Their mothers still wash their faces every night and you can tell they know who their mothers are.
I would be hesitant to go as well, it sounds skeptical and fishy to me why the change all the sudden.
