I REALLY dont know what to do!!! As most of you know when i got Poppy i thought she was alot older than what the breeder had told me. When i got Poppy home i found out she was only 5weeks old and when i phoned the breeder he just brushed it off as nothing and that he had already told me she was 5 weeks old AND if i wasnt happy i could just ''take her back'' and he was pretty rude. Anyway before this happened i thought the two male breeders where such lovely people, we used to txt alot about Poppy and i went up there about 3 times before Poppy came home. I was really upset when this happened with Poppys age as i thought they where friends as well as breeders and they knew i had spend ALOT on Poppy and then ALOT more on buying her new stuff so sending her home at 5 weeks was just terrible for me. So tonight i get a phone call off the breeder (i could not put the phone down on him as i am not that kind of person) he asks how Poppy is doing and says he is sorry the way things went off when we last spoke and we both must have got our wires crossed. He asked could we start a fresh because he would love to keep in contact with Poppy, me and my OH. He says Poppys mum would love to see her and he has asked us to come over on Sunday for an hour so they can meet Poppy and Poppy can see her Mummy. He also said that they would not be breeding again as it was so stressful for them last time and they didnt really know what they where doing and he said he was sorry. I want to forgive him and be able to stay in contact with them and for Poppy to see her mummy but i dont know what to do? What do you lot think? |
I'm such a softy that I'd probably give in, too. |
Just my opinion but I would not continue to have interactions with them. Poppy will not know the difference from his mum or another dog. I tend to avoid anything that I feel may cause me more pain and it seems to me that you may be setting yourself up if you continue to correspond. Good luck to you when trying to make this decision! I doubt "Poppy's mum would love to see her" - did Poppy's mum tell him that;) I wouldn't stay in contact with him. |

That's a hard one. Since he apologized and admitting they didn't know what they were doing and best yet they stopped breeding, I may be open to a visit. Poppy would probably be happy to see her Mum. |

Its true, she wont remember who her biological mom is. But you are her mom now and she will always remember you :) Maybe they made a mistake and took on more then they could handle when they bred their dog, they should have done research on breeding and yorkies first but sadly alot of people dont do this. I always believe that everyone deserves a second chance, if they say they wont breed again then maybe they have learnt their lesson. If it were me I probably would stay in contact but I wouldnt become 'good friends' with them, the way I see it is that if you stay in contact you can educate them on yorkies. |

Where is that at? This person lied to you, and was in so many ways such a poor example of a breeder. You can still forgive this person in your heart of hearts. But I would keep my distance from this person. |

Oh you didnt upset me. Just the fact that they dont remember there mums is so sad. I dunno if i should go or not now, is there any point, i was kinda doing it for Poppy but if she wont remember then i dunno. I guess i would like to see Poppys mum and the breeders where so nice before this all happened but i dont wanna get hurt again because i trusted them and then they wherent there while Poppy was just 5weeks old for help and advice and when i stayed up all night looking after her. It was people on this forum who helped me more than anything. Its like i have to sides and i am being pulled each way :( xxxxx |
