| Size/price? if you paid for a teacup and toy(over 1200.00) AND THE PUPPIES ARE #2 at12wks,3 1/2# AT 14 WKS. IS IT TIME TO WORRY ABOUT SIZE? vET SAID 3 1/2 IS GOING TO BE BIG(OVER7#) SIZE DOES NOT MATTER IF I PAID UNDER 1000.00. I was told by breeder they would be #3 AND UNDER #5 LBS. I know GENETICS and even then cannot be sure. But if this was asked before purchase is it a legal complaint. When can i be sure what size pups will be? I f they came with ear might infestation also is this reason to complain or let breeder know. I WAITED AND DID HOMEWORK BEFORE I BOUGHT I GUESS I FAILED. i am not trying to be a b---- or complain! THANKS |

| Well, I don't consider myself a TOTAL idiot, but I just don't get the Yorkie Growth Chart. Though like you said, there is still no guarantee. As far as a "tea cup", that is only a term used as someone's personal description. As far as a "legal complaint", it would have to be a guarantee in a signed agreement between the 2 of you that the pup will be under a certain weight full grown. Also, the dog would have to be full grown or you don't know yet how much it will weigh. If you signed an agreement that does say that, you will probably have to give your Yorkie back to the breeder in exchange for another one. However, by that time you will be in love with it and will probably not want to give it back even if it weighs 14 pounds. They do go through a "baby fat" stage as far as I'm concerend. You should let the breeder know that your pup has ear mites so he/she can check the remaining pups for them, but that is probably as far as that will go. |

| that's exactly what i heard from the girl i got my maxi from. she was asking $1200 b/c maxi was supposed to be under 4 pounds, but now maxi is 5 pounds at 9 months and still growing (probably). i don't mind her size at all. a little bigger is actually easier to deal with because it is less to be careful about, but i am annoyed at the girl for straight up lying to me. i found out later on that NO ONE can predict the size no matter what size the parents were.

| Maybe you can ask the breeder for some reimbursement if you paid more for the pup because it was supposed to be small. Its worth a try.
