| Think I may have one that wins the trophy... If you're eating or have recently eaten and have a sensitive tummy, don't read on! I warned you! So this morning at 7 I let the dogs out, planning to go back to bed after they were done. Got back in bed by 7:15, Mya back in her crate, Oliver by my side as per usual. Within minutes, I hear Mya throwing up in her crate... Oh boy, this again. What did she eat now that she shouldn't have. Well I look in, and to my horror I see that she apparently ate someone's poop while outside, and threw it up... whole pieces of it... obviously she didn't chew... in her BED! And THEN, she started EATING it again!!! OMG... I nearly threw up myself trying to get that cleaned up and in the wash. We now have a new rule - Mya doesn't sleep in my bed until she's fully potty trained, AND she doesn't eat poop anymore!!! If she had done that on my beautiful velvet comforter I would have lost it, lol. It's a darn good thing she's cute....

My Scooter (german shepherd) just stands there while Alfie jiggles away. He nearly got to the point of no return the other day but Scooter, bless him, just lets him get on with it. Alfie then pants and lights up a cigarette before licking scooters face to death. Ooops sorry gone off topic now

| Ok I have to join the fun! I tell my bf all the time that we need to remember that my sweet little boys are DOGS first! LOL Dexter likes to clean himself 2-3x a day 'down there' so he hangs out in ALL his glory and generously washes and washes for 20 mins at least. He has to do it so that we ALL see him in his glory! If we are watching tv he'll do it on the floor in front of the tv! My boys don't really fart or burp, they eat Taste of the Wild food, not sure if food has to do with it but I guess I'm lucky in that regard! Anything that moves, flies, crawls is theirs! They have each killed numerous bugs and at least 1 frog each and one of them got a chipmunk. They will roll on anything dead in the yard or wherever, like a dead fish at the pond or dead mouse that the neighbors cat leaves for us as a gift. They almost got a skunk 2 weeks ago but instead just ended up smelling really bad and it got away! They will eat something and then rub their faces on the carpet to clean their beards. They lick my feet for 20 mins straight sometimes and I'm not talking fresh out of the shower clean feet! They ate duck poop one time and got super super sick. I had to bring them to the vets for that one. Now we have to chemical and run the filter on the inground pool before we take the cover off so that water is at least light green instead of brown so the ducks don't land on it or hang out in the area and poop! When there are too many people around me and Fletcher feels nervous he will lift a leg on my feet and 'mark me' as his! Just so that all those people know that I am not theirs. Horrible habit! He has only done it 3x but still... eeewww Worst of all... when we lock them out of the room we are in for a little private time, they pee and poop ALL over the house... like they are mad or something!!! My boys will be 5 years old in 2 days! LOL

| Oh I forgot to mention There was a time I had a patio chair under the outside light and there were like 40 beetles hanging out on the chair attracted to the light. I think it was 40, but 2 mins later it was like 30, and then 20 and then 10 and then none and 2 very full pups! YUCK YUCK YUCK!!!! They also eat my bunnies poop. Its so gross! I wish I could break this habit of theirs a bit faster because it really does gross me out more than most of their other bad habits.

| Oh good, someone else agrees with me. Yesterday Roxie decided to go into our garden pull her down a couple of old tomatoes and roll around on them, she came running up to me and I swear it looked like blood, i was freaking out, until I looked closer and saw little tomato "leftovers" in her fur...LOL...Needless to say she had to have a bath... |

| This thread is the best! I have a baby that is just 3 months old. I thought it was just her disgusting habit of eating bird poop and dried up worms! They dont warn us "new moms" to these disgusting habits when we bring them home. Thankfully she is not into eating my other dogs poop! |

| Funny you say that. I have a yorkie who is a "beast" as you say, litter box, trash eating, squirrel chasing, big dog terrorizing, bad breath, non-lap sitting LOVE OF MY LIFE. Then I have a biewer (pronounces bivar like diva with an r on the end makes you sound french/german ) who is the sassy prissy dog everyone think's yorkies are like. And yet she has a bark bigger than a little body that she has should hold. Good thing she's not really a barker. |

| Well, I read through all the posts and I think I have one that wasn't mentioned. My Yorkie doesn't eat anything but her kibble and her toys. Bugs...she barks at them so I can come and kill them. They fly at her, and she ducks and runs. She does burp and fart, though. It's my Biewers that are the gross ones. They do, eat, and smell all the same things listed her. I do have one Biewer though that finds the spider webs in the corners of my porch and eats the dried bugs that the spider has left behind. Being that I hate spiders...this is about as gross as it gets for me.

| Well I would just like to say thank you to all of you for this enjoyable thread. I have made faces and laughed. It has a most enjoyable time. I feed mine Avodern Small Bites for Small Breed Puppies. We do have the farts but not bad. I have litter boxes but I have never seen them even try to eat out of them. My cats take care of any lizard that is brave enough to come in our area. They see the lizards as motion toys to play with. I have to say that RIGHT NOW I feel very fortunate. My two do not do any of those things (YET). They do LOVE the seeds that fall from my Palm trees. It has some kinds of citrus kind of encasing around the seed and they will fight me for it. I have to go out in the yard and inspect it first before they can follow me outside. My two are 5mos and 4mos. They also seem to be getting the pee pad/potty training thing down. Things are either going very well or I have 2 that are doing a GREAT job of hiding things from me. Thank you again everyone for sharing your joys of Yorkie Parenting.
