I am glad Max is home and back to playing and being a happy puppy. I pray he will outgrow the seizures and not need medication the rest of his life.

I don't know if it necessarilly soreness Max is feeling because all three of my dogs do thiswhen I pick them up. When I first got my Yorkie she would always make a noise similar to a wimper or a coo when I picked her up. I thought I was hurting her.

She's now 10 lbs. and nearly 2 years old and she still does it. And so do both my Biewers. To the average ear, it's so soft it's hard to detect. But to a Furmom's ear....we hear it loud and clear.

I'm SO happy that things turned out OK! It sure is stressful for us Yorkie Moms when something is not right with our little ones, but you handled it the way I HOPE I can if faced with such a difficult situation. Nothing but good thoughts and wishes your way now and in the future.

BTW- Cooper is just glad little bubba is back home. My two play together like two hard core daycare kids, lol!

Now he's a handful! I must have 100 toys for him but all he wants is my flip flops!

He had a couple of focal seizures today, but compared to this past week it's probably about 85% better.

Love the videos. Looks like Cooper has taken to his big brother role quite nicely. After all, what are little brothers good for if you can't annoy them?

It looks like today and yesterday Max is having focal seizures again, although nothing like it was before. It seemed about 85% better a few days ago and now about 60%. I'm a little nervous and not sure why the meds aren't working like they should. Today is day 4, and i have read that it could take a week. I'm going to call the vet Monday.

Does anyone have a seizure dog who takes meds?

What med is he taking? Some take awhile to build up to a steady state in the blood stream.

Can you call LSU? Do they have a weekend or after hours service?

My doctor isn't in. She'll be in Monday. I'm not worried to the point where it's life threatening, so I can wait until Monday. Otherwise I'll have to take him for emergency, which it's not.

Phenobarbital. If it takes a while, why did it seem the first 2 days were much better?
