| New member Hi, I'm a new member but a long time Yorkie owner and lover. We have two Yorkies now, charlie and zeke. Zeke has been with us just two weeks and we are having a tough time with his gut. He has had diarrhea for the whole time. We were so concerned we took him to the emergency clinic on Sunday. He was dehydrated so he was given sub dermal fluid and an anti diarrhea medication. Monday he had a follow up. Neither vet could feel anything in his gut, no foreign objects, nothing unusual. He's eating kibbles and drinking water. Does anyone have a suggestion? Should we try pumpkin? Help! |

Poppy's Mamma ♥ Donating Member | Hi and welcome to YT. Im sorry to hear your baby is sick, I hear pumkin can be good for an upset tummy but I will let a more experienced member answer that as I am not 100% sure that it is matches your situation. I hope Zeke gets better soon and please post photo's of them both when you get a chance

Donating YT 2000 Club Member | Sounds like your on the right track. If he stops drinking or eating go straight back to the vet. I would try some pumpking start out slow and increase. I hope he feels better soon. Welcome to YT.

| Hi and welcome to YT. Pixie had that same problem at about 5 months. Vet told us to give her chicken and boiled rice and also gave use some med to calm the tummy down. I'm sure someone else will have more advise as to what you can do.

| Hi and Welcome to YT! Pumpkin is a good food to try for his tummy. It works for both...going too much and not going enough. However, if he's new to your home is it possible you've changed his food from what he was being fed? I made this mistake myself just a month ago. I didn't change brands but I changed flavors and I ended up with three dogs with the poopies! I usually switch to boiled chicken and rice. Between that and the pumpkin I can usually clear it up in a few days. Keep in touch with your Vet. He is just a little guy!
