| Counseling Needed for Husbands of Yorkie Owners! I am sneaking in this thread as my wife and Macy (Yorkie pup) have once again left me at home while they go out to train on an obstacle course at some club. We used to be empty nesters until my wife wanted a 2nd dog (1st one died unexpectedly 9 yrs. ago). I did not want the "hassles" of having another dog. I did not want the first one but I was outvoted 3-1...but I was the one that had to take it for a bathroom break at 4 AM!! Anyway, I thought if I told my wife she could get another dog if I could get a 2nd Harley she would drop it. The surprise of my life came before my eyes...she said OK! So now I have my 2nd Harley and I sit here at home because she is not here to ride it with me. She constantly combs her, trains her in a home obstacle course that OSHA would ban due to danger of falling when walking through our home...and it is not small!! Are there any husbands in the "same boat" as I am in because I see it sinking?!!!!! I thought I was married but I could be gone on a week long Harley trip and I don't think my wife would ever notice I am gone!!! I have asked if I sold my 2nd Harley would she sell her dog and I saw a look that I saw the last time I came home with a Harley leather halter top for her!!! (FYI...I had to return the halter top) So guys...I am asking you if you have gone through this when no one notices you anymore in the house and many times you are left alone? This Yorkie pup of hers has taken over the house and my wife is right there with her!! Please...no sarcastic comments for all of you YorkieTalk subscribers...I am looking for husbands (or former ones!!) out there. Just kidding! All of this is true except I am not depressed about anything. In fact, I am happy that my wife has the Yorkie and that she has found this website. It has been good for the both of them. Thanks to YorkieTalk and all of you that take part in it. It IS a great site for you owners. PS: I do love our Yorkie probably a little bit more that I do my 2nd Harley!

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | LOL. My husband resisted the idea of a yorkie for years. Now he carries one under each arm and baby talks to them.

| LOL, God love you for making you wife so happy, and as long as she is happy you are happy "right" LOL. I think hubby and i are having a competention on motorcycles and yorkies....I have 7 yorkies and he has 5 or 6 motorcycles LOL. But he is also in the same boat as you cause i rarley go riding with him anymore, #1 reason is the dog's and #2 reason is because i had back surgery last year. So I feel your pain cause I see the same thing with my hubby. Nice to know there are understanding hubbies out there though.

| Ha! It took me 11 years to talk my hubby into a yorkie. I think 11 years of waiting was a good trade off?? However, my hubby just read your post and he regrets not asking for a Harley! too late now!! We're still married - and I think we're happy? Who knows, Bailey gets all my attention. Although I have to admit that Bailey has come between us - I mean literally, she sleeps between us in bed. Although, I just love her in bed with us - its something that is probably best not to start, if you haven't already. thanks for the post - love'd it!

| My BF tells me this all the time, that I pay more attention to Keno then him, try and talk to her about it, maybe you can be included in the activities as well, but believe me you are not the only one who feels this way. |

Senior Yorkie Talker | Wow! I ended up way better off, as far as price, than your wife. I only had to buy dual exhaust for our Dodge truck in order to get our second furbaby. He loves them both. I think that all you husbands that have Harleys should get up a biker gang and maybe call yourselves "Abandoned Because of Yorkies Club" or "Furbabies Fury." LOL. Seriously, I am glad you support her in her endeavors. YorkieProud |

You're making me think I'll never find a husband at this rate. Kaji is the only man in my life and as much as I love him.... I'm not so sure that's how I want it to be forever.

| LOL LOL LOL this is such a cute thread and I needed a laugh during a very stressful time! Thanks for that! My fiance never really cared for animals, but Bailey has stolen his heart. I now see him hold Bailey like a baby, tell him he loves him and kiss and hug him!!! Quote:

YT Addict | It is good to know there are so many wonderful husbands in this world. Mine included! AND I didn't have to agree to motorcyles, cars or anything of the sort, only more Husker Football tickets & donations.... He was very anti in the beginning but NOW he goes to specific stores to buy the deli tuna she likes! They have a tuna & cracker together every night. In the beginning he also said SHE WOULD NOT be sleeping in our bed, well guess who takes her to bed each night since I am not ready at that time..... yes it is the very guy who said no to everything and now adores her. He gave her extra points because of how happy she has made me. I lost our Westie last year, wasn't sure I would ever recover. Mia has just changed both of us for the better! As she says, "Look into my eyes and you will be forever under the spell of the YORKIE!" |

| My neighbor girl (and Yorkie owner) is getting married in a few weeks, her boyfriend asked if she would ever love him as much as she loves the dog...her response was "Maybe someday". She was kidding of course...I think.
