| grooming I have 5 that visit the groomer every month. I make an appointment for 2 or 3 at a time.I bathe them myself (the day before) Then i take them in and stand and wait (I can see them the whole time) She is the best groomer I have seen. Not only does she do a great job with my babies she puts up with me having to be able to stand and watch while she does her job. Her normal price is $55.00 per dog and she charges me $25.00 per dog. If I only want a trim with potty area, feet ,ears ect she charges normally $25.00 and charges me $10.00. So last Friday my bill was 95.00 for all 5. I have had a yorkie or 4 in my life, for 28 yrs. and I have been to many groomers, seen many things that upset me, so I will only take them to someone that allows me to stay and watch. Even while standing and watching some of the things I have seen (by the young boys washing the dogs) you would think they would not do that knowing someone was watching. The women that owns the shop is the only one allowed to groom my babies. She is great and does a wonderful job. I also tip her. |

| I think last time I paid was $35.00, and I was not happy, with a little encouragement from Donna (yorkidaze) I did it, and haven't paid a penny since

| I'm a little late to the thread, but Elliott was groomed yesterday, and the bill was $25.00 (plus tip) for a haircut, trimming nails, cleaning ears, and bath. Elliott is usually there for about an hour, and he is hand dried. The girl who owns/operates the shop is really good to him. |

| I've been going to the same woman for 11 years for my Scotties, now I take Kasha there. She charges me $30 (but charged $35 last time because she was matted & she brushed her out) for bath, nails, ears & cut. She also lets Kasha spend most of her time playing with another groomers Yorkies rather than in a cage. Great cut too!

| I have been doing my two myself after my groomer didn't listen the last time and shaved their noses. I have a recommendation for another groomer in my area who is supposed to be very good. I left her a message last week, she returned my call and talked to me for over 15 min on the phone. She asked detailed questions about what I wanted done and was extremely nice. She was booked up for over 6 weeks and I made an appt. I just want them cleaned up because they look scraggly where I have been doing it myself the last six months. I didn't even ask how much she charges. I am hoping it turns out well. I am thinking she must be great to be booked solid for 6 weeks.

| From the time Bambino needed his first at four months,I've only been dealing with mobile groomers. What I love about them is that they let you sit in the van and watch what is going on with your baby. The first groomer to ever groom Bambino was an amazing person. He automatically fell in love with him and they bonded. He always treated him sweetly and when Bambino was all set he looked like a million bucks. His services included: Bath Ears Nails Eyes Glands Privates Cut and style Cologne Bandana for $50.00 (I would tip) Unfortunately after 2 years he moved away,so i found a different groomer (also mobile). They charged $30.00 and I would tip as well but I was never satisfied a 100 percent with the cut. What I used to say to myself is, you can't beat the price and he was also really good with Bambino. Unfortunately that groomer left as well and they replaced him with a different guy and the first time he cut Bambino's hair it was HORRIBLE! I vowed to find a different mobile groomer. So I am in that process now. What I like about mobile groomers is that they will allow you to sit in the van with them until you feel comfortable and you can make sure they are giving you exactly what you want. Also, there is no "holding cage" stress, no "muzzle" stress and they are right in front of your house so when they are done they ring your door bell and in comes your baby running and jumping because they are done and smelling amazing! Also, I used to hear horror stories from my other Yorkie friends about groomers being rough with them and mistakingly dislocating their leg or arm, or cutting them by mistake with the scissors!! Ugh! Bambino is 3.5 lbs, so of course I am extra careful when taking him to a stranger who is going to be dealing with him. |

| Yes, the actual veterinarian doesn't do it, no. It's a woman who is hired to do the grooming that comes in. But, I love the fact that it's actually in the vet though! |

| I'm lucky enough to have a mom who is a groomer so Sophia gets the full treatment for free!! When I have the time I go into her shop and bathe Sophia myself. I think my mom usually charges $35 for yorkies.. generally pricing depends on the size/type of the dog. |

| Sure wish there was somebody on YT who was close who could do it for me. I try to do it myself, but I have 3, I don't do a great job, they won't allow me to do nails at all and I just don't have the energy for it.
