| Sophie's groomer charges by the size of the dog. I pay $30.00 plus I tip. She does a great job and Sophie really likes her. She also pet sits small dogs for $10.00 per night in her home. Most things are less expensive in Michigan because the economy is so bad here.

| I pay $60 for a mobile groomer. It's a little high but she's done in an hour and I don't havet to wait for 4-5 hours for other groomers and she's not in a cage! It's worth the $ for my baby!

| Groomer I have been paying $26 at PetCo, but have decided to start doing it myself since I adopted a new baby. I was very specific with them and ask for appointments where she would not be in a kennel AT ALL. When I got there and handed her off (3 lbs), she was taken right in and bathed and clipped. I waited either in the store or nearby. She was never put in the kennel. The price all depends on what you are having done also. |

| I'm in the UK, and I pay £21 per session (she goes once every 5 weeks to a Poodle and Bichon specialist, but they do Yorkies too). Looking at some of these other posts, I guess it's great value, which probably explains why I had to wait 6 weeks to get her first appointment, but after her first appointment they gave her a little certificate "award for good behaviour" lol. She's their favourite customer too (wonder if they say that to all the regular customers? :P ) |

| There are several contributing factors that are part of a groomers fee. I charge $35.00. Inclusive of shampoo/conditioner (warm towel wrap to set conditioner). Massage, teeth brushed, anal glands expressed, ear canals plucked and cleaned, nails clipped. Coat styled. And for those that require a topknot a show bow is included. I allow 2 hours per dog....never double book or are they ever crated. Dogs are dryed in my lap and not in a cage.

| I pay $45.00 for Sophie Kates at Petco, that includes the cut, a bath, nails (including special dog nail polish), tips her eats and all the normal stuff (anal gland thingy). I have paid as much as $75.00 when I first got her and was not happy at all. I am lucky, Paula her groomer at Petco has become the Yorkie groomer in our area - when I took her in on Wednesday she had appointments for 4 Yorkies that day. I have the same experience as the previous poster, they only put Sophie Kate in the kennel while they are waiting for me to come back and pick her up - usually the longest she is there is 1.5 hours.

| I try to do the best I can, I am sure I don't do as good of a job as the pro's but, I enjoy it. I do the girls one day and the boys another day. I will have to try the warm towel technique you mentioned with the conditioner, I bet it works great. I have been applying bio silk to their damp hair and I can see such a big difference in the shine of their hair, and feel...it last till the next bathe day, smells great too.

| Boy if that isn't the truth, how many bottles of shampoo & conditioner I have, I could open a salon. I will have to try the hot oil treatment, I have heard of that before.

| Since I exhibit, I'm a real sucker for those that tell me about this shampoo and that shampoo that they swear helps a coat grow faster, look silker.....I usually go back to my tried and true products. I've begun emptying my cupboard and taking those more than half full bottles to the animal shelter.

| Hammers only been groomed once since we got him. We paid $55 at Petco. The cut turned out awesome, but the shampoo gave him dandruff and he itched like crazy. I had to bathe him a few hours later just to calm his skin. He has an appointment next week with a local groomer.. Its $25 for the cut, then an extra ten for a bath and nails. I've heard great things about this groomer, so I hope things go well. |
