| Anyone know about onesies?? My yorkie is going to have liver shunt surgery on the 26 this month and I would like to get her a onesie to cover her incision so she can't rip the bandage. I can't find any onesies that cover her stomach though. Anyone have any idea where I can find one at a reasonable price?

| First I want to say good luck for a safe surgery and a speedy recovery. Onsies can be found at walmart, target and places like that for only a few dollars each. |

| I've seen Onesies on Petedge.com but they don't have legs attached..they are just shirts. If you go to that site and type in BABY as a search, the baby onesies come up. Here is the one I've seen PetEdge: East Side Collection My Baby Onesies -- Dog Shirts I'm not sure if this would work for you or not. Good luck.

| You mean like this? I used that onesie for when Kaji came home from his neuter. It was for 3 months which was way to big for him. A preemie or a newborn onesie would be a better fit. You can get those anywhere. I got him a few at Target for $1 and turned them into long sleeve tees.

If you may be thinking of an alternative, I have soft cone collars that may be a better option. Here is a link to my thread about my Kiss-E Collar. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/yor...ne-collar.html Good luck with the surgery and please let us know how your little one does. Hugs, Bo

| I got onesies at target for my little one... however, after she had her liver biopsy the onesie would snag on the staples and it was actually better if she didnt wear clothes... we used the kiss-E-Collar and that worked great. You may want to consult your vet about putting any type of clothes over the incision area. Good Luck to your baby

| I used newborn onsies when Tessa came into heat earlier than I had expected!! Got some panty liners and they worked great!! I put them on her with the front on her back so the snaps came up on her little butt--did not have to cut a hole for her tail--the snaps went right around it so her tail could stick out! The pad also worked for her 'accidents' because she was not totally potty trained yet! |

| When Jezebel got spayed a couple of weeks ago, I bought a package of onesies at Walmart. They carry the Gerber brand in a 5-pack for about $9. I cut out more than a hole for the tail ... I trimmed along the lower edge, leaving the trim with the snaps, and up to and over her tail (as you can see in the pic below). I picked a size that was loose so that it wouldn't rub against the incision. I liked that it protected the incision and kept it clean, as well as preventing her from licking or getting to the sutures. I also liked that the onesie didn't prevent her from doing anything normal, such as eating, drinking, peeing, or pooping. The hole was large enough that she was able to potty without unsnapping or getting anything on the onesie.

| I know Vets. recommend using the cone. Any material could actually rub on the stitches and irritate them. The cone would be a much better solution.
