That's kinda like what I did. Bought a size within her weight range... the onesies for skin babies. Cut the hole on the back side of onsie real close to the snaps, but not cutting the band & put it on her backwards, placing the snaps in front of her tail. Cut hole just big enough so she can potty easily. It worked like a charm when Roxy was spayed & she could remain comfortable w/no restrictions. Never saw her fussing about the stitches. It's a great idea.
