she could be telling the truth about the bullying, but it's incredibly disgusting that she's trying to make a bunch of money off of him now. She needs to be finding someone who will work with him to keep his "liver levels" good (hepatic function, I'm guessing), and she should be just giving him away, in my opinion...

YES, it is ludicrous to ask me to go on a fishing hunt for pictures in a group I am actively involved in in my LOCAL COMMUNITY when YES, it is ludicrous to think that someone would steal a dog from Florida, drive it to Boston, Massachusetts to sell it....for under $1500... I mean really? Do you think the aliens are stealing your dogs too???........ a single sale, POOF gone ??........in a local meet-up group where you HAVE TO MEET IN PERSON AND REGISTER (as I stated) to be a part of?

I was put off because I've never met this person. I made this post before I went to work, after looking at the original e-mail with great concern that this lady was nutso and not handling the situation properly...........then decided "Hey, I know some SANE pup-loving ladies over at YorkieTalk who can help guide me through how to further this along.....let me go ask them what I should do".... So I came here.

I am not rude. It's almost cute that I was called rude for stating the obvious.

How long has Cookie been gone? I feel for Gen, and that is all I'm going to say on THAT matter...but let's be realistic people. This is not her dog. Nothing I remotely said even hinted at her dog and if anyone had come at me realistically instead of lumping me into the "enemies who might know where cookie is" category, then my original response may have been different.

Are you people serious?????????? Do you have ANY IDEA how off-putting this all is to new people coming here innocently to ask questions trying to help out innocent dogs out there that may be hurting or sick?

Whoever posted that very rude message to me... I won't even bother quoting you, you're not worth it, but get your panties out of a bunch.

It's funny, every time I've been away from this site for a while, my e-mail box gets a message saying "Yorkietalk misses you, Please come back!" ---I'm sure you've all seen this e-mail at some point in time as I'm sure it's automatic. Well, from certain responses, people don't feel very welcomed back.

Gen, I sincerely hope you find your baby..........I get an e-mail every.single.time. someone responds to your thread because I responded with such remorse to it and I follow it faithfully.....none of this is directed toward you.

Whoever elses hormones seem to be out of whack and are trying to ward off potential regulars: POINT TAKEN! Clearly, this site isn't for me or my Yorkie.

HUMAN people aside, let me add this about a cat::::

A few years ago I found a baby cat outside of my office who had been abandoned by his mother. I bottle fed him for months and he could never sleep until he cuddled up and sucked on my shirt. I would get home and we'd cuddle every night for two and a half years. He was the most precious thing ever.

A family member absentmindedly let him out one day. I also suspect having been abandoned so young(not having food), and by many of his actions he was mildly retarded

so I knew he wasn't equipped with the skills to find his way home. I searched and searched and searched. Tears. Flyers. Asking neighbors who thought I was INSANE with pictures.

I never found him.

It's been five years and I still wonder if he's out there somewhere and if (and I pray to GOD) someone found him and he's okay.

I know what loss is like. Beyond what anyone on any online messageboard can comprehend (and much more that I'm not willing to share) by a few posts regarding my pretty Yorkie and her cute sweaters or whatever.

I'm sorry I ever joined this community.

WOW. I'm sorry you feel people asking you to do something you deem ridiculous offended you in such a way. I think those that were hoping for Cookie, and you did over react a smidge. I understand that people are passionate when "one of our own" goes missing. When you're a member here long enough, and a friend's pup goes missing, it kinda drags you down with it. I still keep a prayer for Yoshi (Mary's little boy) as well as Cookie, and I hope they are reunited with their mommies soon. I don't see why you took it as a personal attack at the mention of Cookie, but to each his own I suppose. It does seem a bit of a long shot for this particular boy to be Cookie, but crazier things have happened. I really hope this isn't the incident that keeps you from YT. Think of it as people holding on to hope, take a deep breadth and if this thread really bothers you, ask Admin to close it.

Oh, as a side note, if you don't want your personal e-mail to overflow with all the *new* responses to all your subscribed threads, you can choose the "no email" option. I found that a bit annoying and that option was my ticket out of a crowded inbox. You can still see all the new replies to your subscribed threads by clicking "User CP."
I do think it's heartwarming you took in that kitty. It takes special people to do that.

There was another thread recently where someone posted a picture of a rescue she had taken in, another member thought it might be her dog, and this prompted so much excitement, and at one point the rescue worker was even accused of attempting to steal the dog because she didn't upload new pictures soon enough. I think we must understand that many yorkies look like each other and many weigh around 4 pounds.

The OP didn't want to get involved with the person selling the dog, and that is her right. I can see why she would feel attacked by some of you. To the OP, I'm really sorry this was such a bad experience for you, and I fully understand your reasons for not wanting to pursue that matter. I hope you don't let this sour you on Yorkietalk.

I have read this thread from beginning to end and I think everyone should calm down. It is what it is at this point. Everyone posted a comment, to a comment and so on and it became heated because of feelings, emotions, friendships and their own experiences. I feel this thread should be closed, because I don't want to see anyone else get hurt. There are no good guys or bad guys here. Just real people trying to find an answer to a question.

Wow, I cannot believe some of the behavior. I understand and feel very deeply for Cookie and Gen. I wish this was Cookie. This thread was not started for the intentions that it has been turned in to. Dani was asking for advice from people she respects and relies on here on YT.

I know this is touchy since a lost dog is involved... but to attack her when she has made it clear that it is a different dog is unacceptable. It is not even feasible that Cookie would be in Florida and then over 1000 miles away. Please stop attacking people since you may be emotional and get back to the topic at hand.

To the person who thought it MAY be Cookie, I think it would have been more appropriate to send Dani a PM. This should not have been posted in a thread that is not related.

Dani, I hope you don't leave YT. I am sorry that you have been attacked and understand that you are probably upset. I am glad that you sent the email that you did.
