A LITTLE far-fetched? ![]() Gen lives 1400 miles away from me. I'd bet my life if there were a schemer in Cookie's case, he or she wouldn't travel 1400 miles to sell the dog for $1400. Plus, Cookie is 4lbs, not 2. I realize your intentions are good here , but no.

Ok I'm sorry but I'm going to keep on persisting here, here's the senario someone vacationing in Florida finds dog, keeps dog, no longer wants dog tries selling dog for big bucks. Here's another senarion someone steals dog sends dog to family member miles away, family member no longer wants dog. As for his weight if this poor little guy wasn't well taken care of and has liver problems he could definately lose 2 pounds in 5 months.....anyways sorrry for going on probablly wishful thinking on my part I sent Gen a PM to let her know about this post.

| DaniMarie, Could you ask LS the director of Yorkies Inc. to get a picture of this dog for Gen to see....or perhaps ask the seller to send you a picture because you have someone intereted in purchasing the dog. It is always good to "make sure" you never know....Thank you, Rose and Levi

| I just got home and checked my e-mail and it was flooded and she actually provided links to the breeder she got the dog from because other members were asking about the family history of the dog. She also provided a pretty in depth vet history and joined a Yahoo group moderated by another member of the group devoted to liver shunt. I'm not sure if she's still even selling the dog but a lot of other people joined the bandwagon of telling her what she was doing is wrong and she apologized and asked more questions about what she should do regarding her vet. It's not Cookie folks. I understand the desperation to find Cookie (I'd feel the same way if it were my Poppy) but this type of thing will keep me away from bringing up discussions on Yorkietalk. The entire scenario is ludicrous and pressuring me to pursue a ludicrous situation isn't fair when I was opening up and asking for advice to deal with a LOCAL situation.

![]() If this little guy was purchased from a reputable breeder then the FIRST person that is offered this dog should be the BREEDER and he should not be resold to anyone with a hand full of cash. Now that she has been guilted into keeping her sick dog she will probably pass him off in a quiet manner instead of advertising him for sale

| I read it 2 times but I dont see where it says hes sick... I do see where it says he is on a special diet eats a low protein diet due to the fact that his liver can not process a high protein diet. She says he does just fine on his vegetable protein food and has had good liver levels since being on this diet for the past year. We had an ultrasound preformed on him as a puppy to rule out a shunt.sounds like the reason for re homing because of being bullied. I have a 11lb yorkie that is bullying him! I am asking 1,400. for him but will consider less for the right family. There are a lot of breeders on this site that sell their smaller ones the same or more. and I know a lot people who do have tinies like this that being their organs are smaller they keep them on a special diet. so I dont know I just dont see where it states hes sick from that ad. But I agree if he is sick why sell him so high when the new buyers might have to put a lot of money in his vet care. Last edited by YorkieShadow; 03-30-2010 at 05:03 PM. |

| I just got on and saw this. It sounds like this little yorkie definitely has MVD at least. It sounds strange that she knows quite a bit about low protein diet, his liver cant process proteins. That is exactly how I worded this information on my craigslist posts. Anyway, I am not trying to take over this thread just saw this tonight. I hope this lady gets some sense knocked into her head trying to sell a yorkie with MVD or Livershunt for that much. I would not pay $1 for a yorkie with that health issue. I lived that nightmare personally and She should actually be paying someone to take him. Not trying to be rude in anyway. I would foster a yorkie with this condition since I understand this illness. Gen

First off Gen I'm really sorry this is not Cookie, I was hoping no matter how ludicrous this idea was xo Danimari sorry if you felt pressured all I meant was Gen should have been told about this. But you calling this ludirous is ludicrous, never heard of people buying pups on the net and getting them shipped, ludicrous you say? Maybe but it does happen sweetheart. Because of your response, people might just be quiet now if they see or hear something that might lead into Cookies direction, I don't think people like being told their thoughts are ludicrous. And if this was your pup missing I would like to see how ludicrous you thought this might be.

| Maybe she will be able to speak with someone from Yorkies Inc and they can point her in the right directions as far as vetting goes... Just to make sure the vet has made an accurate diagnosis on this pup.. or maybe she will make a good decision and surrender him over to them.. they will find him a great home and get him proper vetting
