| His floppy ears.. I have no idea about his ears or how it works but I know that yorkie ears are suppose to stand straight up. When is that suppose to happen? How old? Are you suppose to train them to stand? Also what if I dont want them to stand? I think they are adorable that they are floopy? lol....please I need to be educated on this. |

| I would just leave them alone and let them do their thing. Zeus used to have one floppy ear then at about three months old it stood straight up and stayed that way. Either way I think is cute. Sounds like you two are getting along quite well. I am happy for you! Kiss him for me. |

| To get the ear to stand, you will likely need to tape it and take care to keep the hair from the tips shaved off. Generally, this is something the breeder does and they are standing by the time they are placed...at 12 weeks old that is. You may have to continue taping them for longer, and the hair will most certainly need to kept trimmed on the ear. It's also not uncommon for the ears to droop again when the pup starts acquiring adult teeth. Also, standing ears (or lack there of) is also something that can be genetic...passed on from the parents and out of your control. Of course, you will likely never see this advice, but who knows, someone else may find it informative. |

| I have one boy whose ears stood up all on their own, probably before 6 months old. The other boy, his ears stand up but flop at the tops.. hes super cute like that, but I bet if I had the groomer tip his ears (shave the tips so the hair was not heavy) they would have stood completely up. So I'd say either have his ears tipped and see if that helps, or just wait, they will stand on their own or not before he's a year.

| Jackson's ears stood up around 4 1/2 months old, after he got groomed. She shaved/tipped the ears and in a few days, they were up!

| Fiona just turned 2 today, and her ears are floppy as can be....the breeder used to rub her ears and shave them, but as you can see, it didn't work, but she does know how to make her ears stand straight up when she wants them too! ha ha ha! Good Luck!

| Even though it is not the standard we preferred the floppy ears so we kept Biggie's ear hair long to prevent them from standing up. He is super cute with floppy ears. He has rather big ears so I don't think he would have looked all that cute with huge standing ears. For our new pup, we have asked the Breeder not to tape her ears. We are going to let them do their own thing unless they are big like Biggie's...then we will likely try to keep them floppy. |

| If you want them to stand... you can shave them and tape them. If you want them to be floppy, you can try just letting the ear hair grow, sometimes it makes the ears too heavy to stand... although it may not work. Armani's stood after they were tipped the first time... Chloe's never stood even with tipping and I didnt care enough about them standing to tape them or anything so hers just stayed floppy. It sounds like you dont really care either way, so I would just leave them alone and see what happens.

| He's only gained 3 oz? Why did you make the frown face - that's not much grown at all!! How much/often are you feeding him?
