To get the ear to stand, you will likely need to tape it and take care to keep the hair from the tips shaved off. Generally, this is something the breeder does and they are standing by the time they are placed...at 12 weeks old that is. You may have to continue taping them for longer, and the hair will most certainly need to kept trimmed on the ear. It's also not uncommon for the ears to droop again when the pup starts acquiring adult teeth.
Also, standing ears (or lack there of) is also something that can be genetic...passed on from the parents and out of your control.
