If you recall there was another thread that someone lost a yorkie because of a situation. Everyone offerred sympathy, but no one really voiced to the OP what lead to this dogs death. A year later the same thing happened with another dog. Were we at fault, probably not, but we may have been able to prevent the same exact accident had we spoken up the first time. There are times that we may not like what we're hearing from people, but we need to hear it.

| ![]() I understand it's so scary and very risky and I know you don't mean to be "mean". Everyone is scared (emotions are high) and everyone is looking out for the welfare of the pup and just HOPING that something will change the OP's mind. I just personally don't see that happening, so instead of scaring her off completely I think it's a good idea to keep he around in the event that something does happen to the pup so she has all the YT family knowledge to help... | ![]() It's still not legal to fly a pup that young. Not old enough to received it's first innoculation, exposing it to the enviornment and stress.

| ![]() I had a puppy flown to me once, she was a poodle so larger then a yorkie to begin with and the breeder wouldnt let her come until 16 weeks, that is over two months longer then the OP is waiting... she was still dehydrated and ill after the flight and had lost a full pound from the experience. I cant imagine if this pup lost a pound or became dehydrated. ![]()

I'm not sure if you have gone back and read through the other threads from this poster. If you have, then clearly you can see why people are frustrated and very scared & concerned for this puppy. I really have to disagree, TONS of advice has been passed along at this point. In fact in one prior thread on potty training, people tried to point out that the issue of hypoglycemia was a major concern and the response was that she didn't ask for an opinion on that! ![]() At this point I really don't know what else there is to be said. I stated in my prior post there are books to read, there are plenty of forums on YT that if you read offer tons of advice and again advice has been posted in her threads. Yes, she is going through with getting the puppy at this point and I do hope the puppy makes it through the flight and will be ok. Everyone wants that! If, I were being honest though. I hope the airlines follows the law and doesn't allow this puppy to get on the plane! I think it's way too risky!

I also want to add that I don't think a Web cam is a suitable substitution for being there. What could look like a puppy sleeping on camera could be something very different. I had no idea some breeders left young puppies alone, all day.

If all the rules are to be followed, the pup would need a Health Certificate, no good vet would issue one on a pup this young.

| ![]() Who knows! I just know she is flying the pup out and my interest lie with the puppy getting all the care it can. I would hate for NatNatt to be scared off and afraid to ask for help should a crisis arise. |

"HEALTH CERTIFICATES The USDA requires that your pet must be at least eight weeks old and fully weaned before traveling. Only pets in good health are permitted to fly. Airlines will not transport animals that are violent, ill, or in physical distress. All pets crossing state borders, with the exception of guide dogs, are required by the U.S. Department of Agriculture to have a rabies immunization and valid health certificate issued by a licensed veterinarian within 30 days of travel. If your pet is traveling via cargo, or if you are a breeder, dealer, or research facility transporting a dog, the health certificate should be issued no more than 10 days before departure."
