Well said Sassyanne, I would never give up my dogs for some guy. Though a partner would have been nice I no longer feel the need to look for aproval in others. I dated a guy years ago who was told' my dogs came first, he said he was going to change that. No he didn't, as soon as I found out I ditched him. My dogs were there first, I chose to have then in my life, they weren't going anywhere.

There are great guys out there that will love you and your furbabies also I found one that loves all of us, we just married this past summer. I have to most respect and love for my husband he accepted me, 3 skin teenagers, and 5 furbutts. In return we all love him dearly and my skin kids even call him "dad" I lost my first husband 7 years ago with cancer. So there are GREAT men out there that will love the whole package you bring with.

Sorry about your loss but so glad to hear about your current DH!

I agree, my DH is fabulous and feels much like me about the furbabies... he says that furbutts are MUCH BETTER than most adults he knows

Thank you, I never expected to find any body it just kind of happened. I was too busy taking care of my family and put relationships on the back burner at least until I had my skin kids raised and on their own. They say things happen when you least expect it. That is very true.
There is no reason to "waist time" on a guy that is already trying to control anything in your life, There is not a good chance it will get better, usually it gets a lot worse. While your are wasting time trying to make a bad relationship work you may miss out on the right one.
Just be yourself and when the right guy comes along he will fit right in

There's someone out there that deserves both of you. Remember don't settle, you deserve the best. This guy sounds like he was looking for a way to tell you not to expect anything from him. I know I posted to you - I did say that he said was dumb but on the flip side -- he may have said it to KEEP you -

you know - that thing men do if they think a woman is going to leave them ...he may have meant it to play on your emotions and IMHO...it doesn't mean you should dump him over a statement - just find out why he said it and what exactly he meant....

men aren't always the best with words and if you really think you have a future with him and want that - I'd say spend more time with him to get to know him again.....you've been apart for quite a while.

Yeah I plan to wait until the right time and get some clarity, but for right now, I'm not calling him.

On the other hand, when Maya was having her little unexplained sick spells, he never failed to ask "How is your baby??"

Also we walk togther for exercise early in the morning, and the other morning he asked me if the girls might like a walk after we finish. That really warmed my heart. So who knows what the jerk really meant.
