| ![]() When I found Chloe dh just said : Cute dog ...if you want her get her , I don't care. He had no intention of doing anything for or with the dog ( He wanted a bully and didn't think a tiny yorkie was really much of a dog) It was to be my dog. Well the night I brought her home he said ..Shes cute .. The next week I heard that I was acting "kinda crazy" putting a sweater on a dog and that she is to little to be a dog ....am I sure I didn't get a hamster by mistake ![]() By week three when she would cuddle in his lap ...he was goo ! ![]() ![]() Now Mr. "I want a real dog , a bulldog" has been talking about wanting another dog ...I assumed a bully but no , he wants another YORKIE !! ![]()

| ![]() Thanks for all the support, I'm glad I'm not the only one! I don't really mind but sometimes I do get a little irritated, but I'm just glad Abby is happy. I did want a smaller Yorkie (she is 8+ lbs.) but my husband keeps saying how glad he is that she's not tiny because he thinks she might have health problems and be too fragile. Her favorite thing is "fighting". Maybe if I get another Yorkie I should get a really tiny one, then he would leave her alone! LOL |

| ![]() I feel your pain!!!! I know exactly how you feel!!! At first Sophie followed me around, always in my lap....my little shadow, because I was the one who trained, bathed, fed, took care of, etc. As time went on, other family members began to "play" with her more, and now the little traitor has turned!!!! LOL!!! Oh well, the way I look at it, that's just more people to love and spoil our little princess!!!

| ![]() I think if I were home all the time I could win her affections back. On Saturdays I have more time to pay attention to her and she does spend a lot of time with me. I wonder, though, why is it me she comes to when she wants to go outside at night? I think she separates us in her mind into "the one who plays with me and shares his ice cream sandwich with me" and "the one who takes care of me". |

| ![]() LOL i feel you girls! I suppose I lucked out with mine. I have a very large Calico/Tiger kitty named Bella and my little Yorkie named Lola. My fiance' is a very large guy at 6'5" and approx 280lbs, so next to him they look so tiny! When we got my yorkie, she was my doggie from the get-go, the cat, suddenly feeling the loss of a attention i suppose, made her way into her "daddy's" heart and now is definately more attached to him than me. Lola is a mommy's little girl though and follows me almost everywhere. They have their moments when they like to switch sides, but they mostly keep to their favorites i suppose. It's awfully sweet though when we are sitting and watching tv as a family and i've got the yorkie in my lap and he's got our kitty in his. ![]() |

| ![]() LOL!! I'm one of those laid-off, not-yet retired guys who have to sit home while my wife works. When my daughter brought Reesie home she had a talk with my wife. LOL! She begged her to keep me away from Reesie so she wouldn't lose her dog to her Dad. Too late. Thanks for buying me a Yorkie, Nicole! |

Senior Yorkie Talker | ![]() Poor thing! My ZZ doesn't know anyone but me, she paces the whole time I am gone somewhere, even if it's just to run to the post office real quick. My dad puts her upstairs in my room with all the things she is comfortable with, and she cries allll night if I am gone all night. Spoil harder! =)

| ![]() Happy to hear that I am not the only one that lost their baby. My 1st yorkie (Tessie) was a total surprise for ME on Mothers Day. My husband said we would never have a dog in the house. My husband is also retired and I work. The first night Tessie came home he had her in the recliner rocking her to sleep while she chewed on a nyla bone. Now she is there all the time. Six weeks later we got a male and he sits in his daddy's lap all the time. Finally I got little Calvin and he likes to cuddle with his Mama. My husband goes shopping for them buys toys, treats and Chritmas sweaters. He fusses at them one minute and hugs on them the next. I do all the bathing, feeding and potty training. I am so glad he loves them.

Ah! My husband wanted a bulldog, but since we were getting a dog so I wasn't lonely when he works nights Thur - Sat., I picked out Winston. He even referred to him at the beginning as "your dog". My husband originally just helped out, and I brought Winston to puppy classes, bought sweaters, walked him, fed him, etc. My husband is home during the day and was busy working on our home repairs. Now that everything's done he's had more free time, and HE MUST BE SPOILING WINSTON while I'm at work. This week Winston has been following my husband around, sitting on his lap, and sleeping pressed up against him! I feel so hurt. I'm looking forward to this weekend, when my husband is at work at night, so that I can try to spoil Winston & win back his affections. Hope it works. | |
