I would love to add another yorkie very soon! But with Ares being 3 months, Tank (boxer) 1 year, and two skin babies 5&6 and baby # 3 on the way... I don't think I could devote the time needed for all the loving I want to give

I think a pack of 4 would be great if I didn't have young skin babies! My hubby said when the kids are off to college I could have as many yorkies as I wanted! I told him please with 2012 and the "END" of the world as we know it around the corner, I should just get my new furbaby now! lol That excuse didn't fly but who knows

I think 1 or 2. I had 5 at one time plus I did yorkie rescue. It just got overwhelming. I loved them all and they each recieved plenty of attention but not what I really wanted for them. I recently stopped fostering and was able to place two of the more demanding rescue dogs that were miserable sharing attention and one would attack my son even while he was asleep in his bed. I realized she was not happy here. That left me with three and within this past 2 months I lost my oldest to lympomia leaving me with two and that is so much more managable. They are happier and are able to do more with me. When you have more they will usually adjust but really I think they would love to be the center of your world and that is so much eaiser to do with fewer furbabies. And of course as others mentioned vet, grooming and day to day expenses.

O.K. I lied, we spotted this darling little 2 year old up for sale, breeder says she's too small for breeding and they're looking for a new home for her with some-one who wont use her as a breeding machein and she looks so much like my moms little girl Hope even she's said okay lets find out. So I've sent them an e-mail enquiring about her. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

LOLOL...never heard the end times being used as an excuse to get a yorkie, that's a good one!!! However, it does sound like you have your hands full w/two pup'sters and 2 babies, and one on the way!!! I think it's just your estrogen hormones screaming baby baby baby, even if one of them is a furbaby ...As a grandmother, I'd advise waiting 'till after #3 skin baby arrives, and then see how you feel about another furrbutt ...I bet your baby wanting thermometer goes down a few notches

I think it depends on the amount of time and money you have to properly take care of them. Traveling gets more difficult with a third unless you have an RV. With a 4th, it's even more difficult if you take them shopping locally. Probably need a stroller large enough for that many, or even have one custom made like the ones that are made for quads. If you have the time to devote to them during the day, the money to make sure they eat very well, and for the Vet. and any surgeries that would be needed. It isn't cheap even with one.
