| ![]() I would be careful about slamming them too much. As they stated they sent you a replacement puppy which does mean they followed through with what their contract says. Does that make it right? Absolutely not!!!! But, they did honor their contract however bad that may be. They could turn this around and pursue legal action against you. I am not saying you should not tell your story either. Just warning you to be careful. Also I seen on that site they are in Missouri, and the puppy on the very first page of their site, doesn't even have a normal looking left eye. I am so sorry for your heartache. So very sorry.

| ![]() I am so sorry about your Cody, and I hope things will get better. I was just wondering though, could some of his problems be related to when your Grandpa stepped on him last year? He acted very hurt, and it was several days before he went to the vet? Just wondering

| ![]() is there any advice for trying to shut down a puppy mill and how would they turn it against me? Also regarding my grandpa, I talked to him afterwards and the veterinarian, my grandpa didn't put his full force on cody, he didn't actually step on cody but cody was behind his foot and my grandpa took a step back but as soon as he felt something he moved forward. When I told the vetinarian, she told me that he could have froze in state of shock but when he frequently spun around, that was due to his neurological problems. There were other things that was just wrong with him since birth. You can see cody's eyes pointing outwards and I didn't know at the time if it was normal or abnormal. The breeder told me it was a "defense mechanism to see their sides better." Then the two lp on his back leg and there's three opening on the top of cody's head that never closed. I'm currently saving up for Cody's lp surgeries but just the whole neurological thing is getting me overwhelmed.

| ![]() Hugs to you! I really do believe good things come from bad situations. Many many many of us have learned the hard way about puppy mills. The good thing, is that we gave a precious little ball of fur a fighting chance out of a terrible situation. Many times, that chance was much shorter than we had hoped. AND, we've learned why mills are so bad and in that we try to spread the word against them ALL. Don't stop telling your story about little Cody to as many people that will listen. That is a good thing.

I would like to mention that each state has it's own laws and even though they honored their contract and replaced the puppy, she is still in her right to complain and take action against them. Especially since they replaced the puppy with ANOTHER sick puppy. This should be brought to the attention of local legal authorities, animal rights activist, and to the public. This place needs to be shut down! The puppies on their website look awful and unhealthy. She has nothing to fear if she takes the proper legal steps to bringing them down. They on the other hand will start shaking in their boots, once they are properly exposed.

| ![]() Oh okay I misunderstood that. How old is the second puppy? I would still take action and bring this place to the attention of the public. I bet there are many other sick puppy owner/clients from them.

There must be some type of support group for people who have pups with Hydrocephalus. My other thought on this is if the LP is not causing a huge problem you might be better saving your money to go toward his other much larger issues. Does he have seizures? With all of the problems that he is facing what are your vets thoughts on his quality of life and life expectancy? ![]() I'm not sure what the current legislation in Missouri is but maybe if you contacted the state representative with your story it might get some attention. ![]() As cruel as it was that this horrible place told you just to have him PTS it is a decisions that you just might be faced with in the future. I know might sounds really cold but some times it is the most loving and unselfish thing to do IF it comes to quality of life. Unfortunately, for some pups even rescue is not the answer. Rescues can give the same love and caring that you are giving but when it is neurological many times that is all that can be done when it comes to issues like Cody has. ![]()

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | ![]() Hi I am sorry about your puppies being sick, but I found this on the ASPCA and its really sad as you probably wouldn't have a case b/c of this: 5. Internet Buyers, Beware! Buying a puppy from the Internet is as risky as buying from a pet store. If you buy a puppy based on a picture and a phone call, you have no way of seeing the puppy’s breeding premises or meeting his parents. And those who sell animals on the Internet are not held to the Animal Welfare Act regulations, and so are not inspected by the USDA.
