My little girl follows me everywhere. I think 'shadowing' is a trait unique to our cherished yorkies and certainly one of the most endearing.

Teddy follows me everywhere! If he can't see me he will flip out, he'll try everything he can to get out of his play pen or crate just to run up to me and follow me around. I love it though.

Mickey follows me everywhere. If I go outside to empty the trash, he goes. If I go to the bathroom, he is there. When I go to bed, he is right on my heels getting there. I love him so much.

My Diva followed me everywhere from Day 1; and now with the new edition of Ruby, she, at 3 months follows me as well. It's such a wonderful thing to come home and have both of my babies excited to see me when I come home and follow me from room to room.

Calleigh follows me everywhere too. If I'm in the kitchen preparing dinner, she won't leave the kitchen. At times, she is really in the way and I have to tell her to go lay down on rug. She's is a chow hound, and is just waiting for me to drop something. I dropped a piece on onion once [on purpose], and Eww.. she didn't like that. She left the kitchen. Lol.

Billi follows me everywhere too. It's funny, cuz she'll be dead asleep but get up and follow me anyway, and then she'll stand there watching me like "I got up from my nap for this?"

Makes me feel guilty and laugh at the same time. Gotcha cutie!

I just adopted my Yorkie last night and I already noticed this behavior! I love it!

My lil Belle will follow me so closely sometimes I don't see her because she is literally under me. If I go to the bathroom and she is left outside the door she pokes her little nose under it. I am always joking about how I am the only person in the house who is never alone. If my 16 month old son isn't following me it's my 9 year old daughter and when my husband is home he is too...and always always my Belle.

Like most Yorkies on here, Pao follows me everywhere as well and of course when I am in the bathroom, he whines to be petted. I find it quite difficult to do 2 things at one time lol

If I am in the shower, he used to wait for me but every time he does that I asks him if he wants a bath, he will run away and rather wait for me just outside the bathroom lol.

My males follow me everywhere, Piper is more independent and is hoping for opportunities for mischief when she thinks humans are distracted or can't see her.
My younger male follows me around chattering, fake sneezing, yipping and whining to keep me paying attention. The slightly older boy is a rescue I've had for six months and he is okay unless I go upstairs. If I'm not on the same floor of the house as he is, he shrieks like a woman in a horror movie. (This makes Piper's independent streak a welcome variation.)

my 2 yorkies follow me around everywhere. i had to put a bell on my little one because i cant hear when she walks shes got quiet feet so sometimes i go to move and i accidently step on her paw because she is literally right behind me and i didnt even hear her get there so now when she walks her bell rings.

I did the same with my little girl Yorkie. PetsMart had jingle bells in the cat collar section that were larger than one typically sees on a collar. They make just the right amount of noise to let me know where Piper is--it keeps her from getting into mischief (she can climb like a mountain goat and can slip through fences, etc.) and warns me if she's followed me to the sofa and/or jumped up behind me. The dangers of Yorkies following too closely in my house include getting sat upon!
