do your yorkies follow you EVERYWHERE??? I recently started working from home so I guess I am just noticing it more. I cannot go into any room without my boys getting up to follow me. I could be sitting at my desk for hours and they are sleeping next to me, I get up to get a drink and they follow me. I go out to the garage to throw some laundry in and they follow, I go to the bathroom and they follow, I go get a drink and they follow. they are like my little shadows, it’s like they have to make sure I am not leaving them or sneaking away. It’s kind of funny, I feel kind of bad though they really don't get uninterrupted sleep with me home. do any of your yorkies do this? |
Like a shadow Zack is like my little shadow. He will even jump up into the chair and on my lap when I am at the PC. Zack and Zoey will visit me when I am in the bathroom. If I can watch them, they can watch me, fair is fair:D. Zeke's not as much a shadow but does like to be close, not following you around. |
All three of mine will follow me... even into the bathroom! They will just sit at my feet as if guarding me! It is too cute! Just proves there is nothing quite like the love of a Yorkie! |
Mine follow me everywhere in the house or the yard that I go, and I have six so sometimes I feel like the Pied Piper. If I do manage to get in the bathroom alone and manage to get the door shut they wait outside the door and stick their little feet under it. Where do they think I will go, there is only one way out. |
Yes! I love it though.. except when I am in the kitchen cooking and Marley is at my feet..cute little story.. sorry if its TMI...I use the bathroom in the hallway... well you can sit on the toilet and look into their room ( yes they have their own room LoL ) I have 4 potty pads laid out you can see ( Colt likes to walk and poop ) in a square... One day while I was ..ahem...goin to the bathroom I looked into their room and they got all excited watching me ...ahem... potty.. and they both started goin at the same darn time... it was a triage of pottiers lol I have never laughed so hard.. when they were done they came back to me and were jumping around like crazy.. as if you say " mommy good potty!!" |

Yes, Couver is my little shadow... sometimes I get worried when I can't find him. Usually I turn around and he is right at my feet! |
Follow the leader.... LOL, my two boys follow me all over the house I can't even go to the bathroom by myself. Good post....:animal-pa |

That is exactly what my boys do...I'm lucky if I go into the bathroom by myself! Wherever Mommy is, Joey and Tank feel they need to be there too. Sometimes they'll follow my husband around too, but with Mommy, it's a definite must. |
Pann follows me everywhere as well. When I take a shower he wants to get in the tub with me...Everyday!! and when he's not at my side I worry, bc most times it means hes getting into big trouble. |
OMG yes Lexi follows me EVERYWHERE like everyone said if they get up she's right there, but thing that trips me out is she think she knows my every move around the house meaning she walks in front of me and sometimes go into the other room and when I don't go in there she makes a quick u-turn, it's so funny. Travis is the same way but not as bad. |
Josh follows me everywhere. He is my little companion. :) Yesterday, I snuck in the bathroom. After a minute in the bathroom, I heard Josh sniffing at the door. I guess he found me. :D:D:D |
Yep, and the funniest is when I sit on the couch at the end of a long day and I'm instantly covered in children and pets. I love it! :D |
I can relate. I lived with my Aunt for 2 years an they' follow her to every corner of that house. It only frustrated her when she was trying to cook because the kitchen isn't big enough for two people to walk so having a furry friend in there at your ankles was a problem. Yorkies are like that thouge they follow you everywhere. I'm planning to get my first yorkie in the spring, if I can convince my landlord to allow a pet. |
