I did the same with my little girl Yorkie. PetsMart had jingle bells in the cat collar section that were larger than one typically sees on a collar. They make just the right amount of noise to let me know where Piper is--it keeps her from getting into mischief (she can climb like a mountain goat and can slip through fences, etc.) and warns me if she's followed me to the sofa and/or jumped up behind me. The dangers of Yorkies following too closely in my house include getting sat upon!
