| Well Capt noonie..my hubby and I had an embroidery shop for 15 years and both of our furbabies went to work with us every day...customers would bring their kids by just to visit tigger ( our chow/golden) he has the most sweet and loving personality. and to tell you the truth we had one lady come in to the shop and refer to my shelby rae as looking like a rat...I told her I would not do her embroidery and I didn't.. so I can totally understand your feelings...we have friends who are deathly terrified of dogs but they don't come to our home because they know we won't lock the babies in a bedroom..we have made it clear that this is the babies home and they won't be locked away...

YT 500 Club Member | I totally agree with you bringing your dog to the shop it makes for a wonderful invironment my nail shop bring there spitz Yoshi to work all the time he visits all of us while were getting our nails done the shop allows me to bring Penny " my yorkie " and she plays while were there. My bank ALWAYS has doggie treats at the drive thru and my other dog Jade ( border collie ) knows when were a block away she going to get a treat. I tried just going to the drive thru ATM once she stared a hole through my head i ended up pulling out going back through the line to go to the window so she could get her cookie but you know what it made me slow down and have just that tiny bit of personnal contact with the teller!

| Wow...doesn't sound like a very healthy friendship. I agree with you one one point though--I don't think that she should be passing her fears on to her kids. I'm deathly afraid of any flying, stinging bee-like insect, but I really try to avoid them so my kid doesn't pick up on my fear. But, then again, if one of my "friends" told me that was the 'stupidest thing they ever heard' and then criticized what I did with MY kids....well, lets just say we wouldn't be "friends" for long. |

| Ok....I think if I knew that a store owner kept her dog in the store...that's just the store I would perfer going to....I happen to notice that a higher percentage of people automatically put a smile on there face when approached by a friendly dog....big or small! How could you not??!! They are great conversation starters! Geez....I would maybe not even buy anything...just go to see Uni!! I get those people that are weary of dogs...and if so....why go to a store where you KNOW there is going to be a dog ??!! I also swore that ohhh nooo...I would never dress my dog up....and Lucky has more clothes than me....with matching bows!!lol To each their own ......I have three skin kids and one furkid....when I refer to him as my furkid it only means that I don't love him any less than my own children.....and would do just as much for him!! No, he isn't human but he's much more than just a dog (to me)! BTW....Jackson is definately one of my favs here....every sweet pound!! lol

| I was in a pet boutique when a lady came in with three medium sized dogs. One was a golden, the other two were terriers, I think. When I was checking out, one of her dogs came over to me, and I backed away. (They were on one of the expandable leashes.) I asked her if she could shorten the leash, and she said, "Oh, they won't hurt you!! They're very friendly!" (My last dogs were a golden and a german shepard.) I told her that I love dogs and wasn't afraid of them, I just didn't want their scent on me because Prince would wonder who I was with!! We all laughed. She said that it would make him think you were cheating on him!!
