| ![]() Yeah I agree.. I mean what are you to do? You have a sick puppy that needs you.. and you have to leave to go visit family.. you cant put a sick pup in a boarding place..That is a hard one, it really is. That might be the best choice.

i agree i know its a hard thing to think about but you will likely run into more health problems down the road..its best to get a puppy from a breeder that can give you details on the puppy and the pedigree...health, parents, grandparents..etc... i would also insist on getting the vet money back from the puppy store

| ![]() BUT I have mixed feelings about this, I think that you need to step up and take responsibilty for your actions, you bought this puppy, before you did any research. Now you were sold a sick puppy and you just want to return him just like that. This is a puppy, not a shirt that you want to return bc you dont like it anymore. I feel bad for the puppy. I hope you look into your heart and make the wise choice on what to do.

| ![]() Boarding a 13 week old puppy is not even an option! In order to board, you need to have your dog fully vaccinated including bordatella. Sounds like you are having a little buyers remorse about your purchase. Personally, I would be a little concerned what would happen to the puppy if it were returned to the petshop. ![]()

| ![]() Whatever decision you make, make sure you hold the petstore liable. The more people who know about where pet store puppies come from, the fewer people will purchase from there. Good luck with whatever you choose to do. |

| ![]() If I were you I'd keep the poor thing, give it the best care that you can, and you can shed a tear on his 10th birthday knowing that you saved his life. ![]() |

| ![]() We were uninformed buyers and bought from a dirty BYB and Bandit was extremely sick because of it. After many trips to the vet and ER vet he's turning 3 years old in March and doing great. He's a spoiled poochie but he's great and I'm glad we stuck with it and gave him a better life than he would have had at the BYB. ![]() |

| ![]() I would demand that the pet store reimburse you for any and all fees you incurred and have some type of plan in case there is any other issue that comes up due to this. This will cover you financially in the future if there are any side effects and it will hold the pet store accountable. Hopefully the pet store will be too scared that you might stir up drama for them that they will do that without any problems. I hope the vet gives you the all clear tomorrow. Do you have any friends or family that can look after the puppy over thanksgiving? |

True That! (slang for agreeing with you) Make the Pet Store reimburse you for all the Vet fee's if you can, find a furbabysitter, and return home ready to pick up from there with your new furbaby. Though personally, I would cancel my trip, see if I could get a reimbursement from the airlines, and stay home with my new furbaby. Seriously, I would regardless of what my family or friends thought, because my new sick furbaby would now be a part of my immediate family, and I don't believe in getting a Yorkie for a material possession.

| ![]() I'm very sad reading this thread because I know the outcome of this little puppy if he is returned to the petstore. He will probably be PTS...Lissette |
