Gen didn't call so I suspect she had other things to do or it might be out of her cell plan to call, so I'll call her this morning. Richard |
2 Attachment(s) I looked for a similar picture on FB but it's not there. Compare Cookie on the left with the Houston dog. |
Just wanted to commend you faithful YorkieTalkers that are so good to continue to help Gen. I wish I had a support system when my daughters Huskey went missing. We know she was taken, and it's been years now, but I still search. With you guys helping chase down and looking for leads, it is giving her the willpower to keep searching. I don't think I could be as strong as her and keep looking, but I see so much good coming from her efforts. It warms my heart to see each of you, Some so far away, helping in any way you can. In a world so self centered today, it's nice to see there are caring humans out there. YorkieTalkers are much like campers, they stick together and come to one anothers aid when needed. I knew there was a reason I wanted a Yorkie!!!!!! Just wanted to say HATS OFF TO YOU GUYS!!!!! Sharon, Joey, Cabella and the six puppies |
The pic that yorkieshadow posted DOES look really familiar..and it really does look like the dog that Reesiesdad posted...I pray that is it cookie! He really needs to come home soon! |
I have definitely seen that picture before but not from Houston. I hope they are not using the same picture to try and sell a dog. I dont know. I do have a picture of Cookie's face flat on the floor looking up that looks a lot like that one. But the other pictures of the dog that is sleeping doesnt look like him. I still sent them an email. I have received so many phone calls, texts and emails regarding the dog that is in Animal Control. The person who posted that is a friend of mine. She emailed me as soon as she saw that. Its not Cookie. I went in person yesterday to Animal Control and he was not there anymore , they took him the Humane Society on 2/1/10. The Officer there already knows who I am when she sees me drive up lol. She told me the dog is actually a Morkie mix. I asked her about an estimate weight and she said about 7 lbs. I know people are often off on weight and size. The dog is microchipped but the number is disconnected.Honestly I dont think someone was looking for this dog. Animal Control never got a call for him for several days that they had him and no one has called about a missing morkie/yorkie at the Humane Society. Gen Quote:

I was looking for the post reesiesdad posted with that same yorkie face picture. By the way, Thank you Richard for guiding me step by step to restore my computer! Gen |
2 Attachment(s) This is the picture I compared side by side. The one on the right is Cookie Gen |
wow! they sure do resemble each other. |
What I posted was a picture of Cookie that Gen had sent a month or so ago. The highlites in his hair make him look so much like Cookie I had to blink a couple times. The hair between his eyes and his eyebrows are so similar. About the computer fix, Gen has a surprise for her computer-expert husband! LOL!! |
I am so sorry to hear about your pup... My first yorkie (Miss Tia Maria) was stolen from my backyard about 3 years ago and I was devasted, I really feel for you and I hope you find him... |
They do look very much alike..the only thing is Cookie's nose looks smaller but that can just be the picture. I do hope you get him back:( |
it says on the Port St Lucie site that the dog was found 1/27/09 but the picture says 1/1/06 Maybe someone just doesn't know how to change the date |
That's not the correct date on the picture. All of their pictures have the wrong dates... Quote:

Just relit candles from our family for Cookie. Gen |
said a prayer and relit |
Just re-lit thanks for the reminder. Gen, just wanted to tell you I am flying down Friday 2/12 and the flyer of Cookie is going up on the motorhome at the race, as well as, at the campground the Monday after the race. If you can think of any other "spots" you would like one in my area of Florida let me know. I ran off some at work so I can hand them out at the race......I know it is a couple hours from you...but there are people from all parts of the country there so I will get them out to everyone that passes by. Also I have friends coming in from "Tampa Bay" area and "Naples" so they will also get some flyers to take home. I am glad to have this opportunity to try and help with the search effort. God Bless you Gen.....we will find him. Rose and Levi |
Just re-lit candles for Cookie. And checking in to see if there has been any progress any where. Hang in there Gen. |
I just read 112 pages or so, and I just wanted to tell you I am so sorry :( I know I would be absolutely devastated if I lost my babies. I think you are extremely admirable for not losing all hope. Keep doing what you're doing in your search to reclaim your baby. i pray and hope with all my might that you will be reunited again. |
Gen, I hope you know that we will never give up, never stop praying that you find Cookie and bring him home. Please who ever has him, have a heart, be the bigger person and call Gen. She only wants whats best for Cookie and that is for him to be safe, with her, at home. You know, home is where the heart is...and Gen has the biggest heart of all. |
I just read 112 pages of the story about Cookie. I have a down heart reading it. Your strength and hope of finding him are so up lifting. Good luck and I hope that your hard searching pays off. |

I dont know if you guys will ever get tired but I have to thank you once more. I was off the computer for most of the day. I had to catch up on clipping coupons from newspaper inserts that I had piled up for the last 3 weeks. Putting them all in my huge coupon binder.Made buffalo chicken wings & fries. Watched the superbowl. I sat down and cuddled with Monica for a long time. My mom calls her Cooka. She says she's the female version of Cookie. She does so many things that Cookie used to do that Cookie is in my mind all day. Her favorite spot in the house is my bedroom window, I put the doggy steps against it and she sits there for HOURS. Just stares at the grass, lizzards that go by and is so content being there for 3 or 4 hrs. This is the same thing Cookie always did. So I find some comfort in this. Gen |
