Sandy , Sandy ...Sandy!! Please do. I think they might be more attentive when its someone else calling about something like this. I will gladly welcome them into my home and show them what has been going on and what I do everyday to look for him. Looking for Cookie is a fulltime job with lots of overtime. I do so much running around and I feel that so much does not get done.Today my mom was helping with folding laundry. I went to put another load of clothes, I had to remove the removable fabric mop and throw it in to wash...well guess what I put to wash? The metal frame of the mop, I threw the actual fabric mop on the floor. I tried to close the machine so it could wash clothes and I couldnt close the door! I look down I realized I put in the whole metal frame! My mom was like " OMG you are really not thinking straight" Gen |
OMG, I can feel the energy in the air. I just know you will have Cookie in your arms very soon.:D |
Tonight we volunteered as " Secret Santa" parents of small children sign up their kids names, what they want and are getting for Christmas, how they are behaving etc... I call as Santa's secretary and hand the phone over to Santa ...hubby and I ring bells so the call ends. Kids went nuts when they heard Santa tell them stuff only the child knows. As we were leaving I look at the stop sign a few feet away. I was like OMG! Someone and I have no clue who. but someone was kind enough and had our flier and either made copies or something. Well the Flier was in a larg Ziploc and taped the stop sign. As my husband continues driving, I see another FLier in ziploc bag and taped the stop signs! We do not know who did this for us...but maybe that's our secret Santa  . We got home around 8ish and my husband asks me " do you wanna walk and use the listening device? " we both headed out with flashlights . I had the device plugged in and I heard everything pretty loud. We were calling Cookie's name the whole time. We walked about 6 blocks behind us and 2 blocks in front of us. We had to head back and got home now. I will continue doing this every day when I get a break. Some news on the Surrendered Yorkie that was given to me Saturday. I was taking him tomorrow to the Dogs & Cats Forever home to get parents for him. Well my husband said " Jasper is staying" My 17 yr old has been sleeping with him for the past 2 days. So let's see how things work out. he has only had 2 potty accidents (our fault) We walk him on a leash and potties and does not pee or poop inside the house until we take him out at night.I dont want to admit it but he really is a great dog. His hair is so pretty but the previous owner chopped it all up. With his hair long he will be very handsome. I told them that we will see how things work out with Jasper. I know this is a commitment and I dont want to have him going from home to home forever. Gen |

That got my attention. This headline is very true. I get calls, emails from people out of state. So many people telling me they are praying. I know of many people in my city that are truly keeping their eyes peeled and are not concerned about hearting a neighbor's feelings. If they see something , they call me! People making calls to shelters. When I call , I usually get a response from the operator telling " Someone just called about your dog" YT THANK YOU. I have been able to spread the word this far because of so many people adding a link to a new site where I could post, a phone number...people making calls. All this helps. In the back of my mind I keep feeling that I am bugging the heck out of the person that have Cookie. I keep thinking that they are thinking " OMG lady just drop it already!" Not gonna happen. I'm getting large Ziploc bags and putting new fliers in the main streets. THis way they will last for a while there. I still havent put up our tree! It's 9.5 ft tree so that will take a whole day to do. Will check with animal control in the morning. Gen |
Gen you are a true angel...To give Jasper a chance to be in a happy home with a devoted family to love. Thanks!!! I wish there was something I could do to help you in your search for Cookie. If there is anything I can do from a distance...please do not hesitate to ask...I'm here for you. I want nothing more then to log on to YT, find this thread and you announcing that you've found him and that he's home, safe and sound in your arms. Still praying for YOUR miracle...you deserve it. |
Gen, have you gone to that area where the psychic said she thought Cookie might be? |
Hi Gen, just checking in and telling you how proud I am of you and your hubby... Cookie will be in your arms again!!! I just wanted to tell you I would be happy to DONATE some money for the reward... these " creep's " that have him, I believe are holding out for a large amount, they have seen how much you love cookie and that you will do anything to get him back!! keep the faith sweetie!!!!!!! Weare all a team and family here at YT and we will fight to the end for our Furbabie's!!!:aimeeyork:aimeeyork :ghug: |
Ugh! I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for you that cookie returns home safe! But maybe Jasper was brought into your life to fill a gap, not saying that anything could replace Cookie but maybe his purpose is to ease the pain. God works in misterious ways. My thoughts are always with you! |
I've been following this story since it started and my thoughts and prayers are with you and Cookie in hopes that this Christmas will turn into JOY for all of us. I was thinking that maybe you can write a letter to ELLEN DEGENERES show and let her know your situation. She gets a lot of letters but I think, like someone said, this is a human nature story that will get attention. ELLEN owns a pet food company in Palm Harbor, FL and I'm confident she might pick up and follow thru on your story. I'm still praying until I can hear that Cookie is back in your arms. |

Yes Jasper is here. He slept again with my 17 yr old. There may be a new addition to our family soon we will have a house full of little dogs. I did NOT want to make any announcement but this is another thing I stumbled on in the process of looking for Cookie online. Let me just say that No other dog will ever take the place. No other dog will be Cookie....Only Cookie can be Cookie. I will continue to look for my baby. If I had to guess how long will I search? I felt that Cookie would be with me until he turned 10-11 yrs old. So I have about 6 more years until I give up. I hope that makes sense. I know it will be much sooner. In the meantime I also try to match up pictures of lost and found and contact owners to their emails and let them know to check something out and look at the pictures. Out of all of this, Jasper found me. His owner called me because she saw my poster on my car. The female yorkie we went to ID, found her owner because I told them to PLEASE take her to any vet and scan her. She was reunited with her owner that lived 5 houses down! So along the way to find Cookie I keep stumbling onto to things and do my best to resolve them. There is a bigger story to tell here. Even with my heartache, I feel blessed because good things have come out of this. I dont know how else to explain it. I will be back later. I'm going to use my listening device to drive around further. Gen |
Gen, you're amazing. I know that Cookie will find his way home. However, in the mean time, you're doing God's work. You are joining lost Yorkie's back with their owners and even gave one a home. You're one of the angels that are here on earth to show us what we should all be doing all the time. |

Gen, did you try emailing Ellen? There is a link at the bottom of her website to email her, and you can send her suggestions for stories. |
