Here in certain areas of Michigan the shelters are seeing more than the usual number of dogs that are turned in because the owners have become homeless or they just can't afford to feed themselves and a dog. Also, certain breeds seem to be targeted for theft. I've seen ads for Yorkies asking as much as $3500. Some people will do anything for money.

I check this thread like a thousand times a day, but I leave a note every once in a while. Just want you to know that Sushi and I have not forgotten you and Cookie, still praying and begging god, more than ever. I really hope you have him back home before the holidays.

Hello everyone I talked to Animal Control in Hernando County, they were very helpful the yorkie that was relinked was not chipped, it was placed this morning and now has a chip! Gen I made them aware of your situation and they are aware of Cookie, they are also keeping an eye out, they were very nice and helpful. I will continue to make calls, I pray that somehow it helps.

Every evening I hug my Edie just a little tighter, as a result of Cookie's story. It has made me realize just how lucky I am to have her in my life.

I printed this out and balled my eyes out. I let hubby read it and he didnt even get half way through reading it and burst into tears. I picked up the paper and read the rest of it to him.

It's exactly how I feel and then some.
