Gen your phone call with Lorrie brought tears to my eyes. poor Cookie. but relieved to hear he is alive. She said the dark head man had been watching? maybe someone visiting going in and out of your neighbors where the hole in the fence was. maybe he had been trying to get him to come close enough to that hole to snatch him. but cookie wouldn't fall for it and so he tried the gate. [I still feel that he is in a big gray/ or dirty white house. ,maybe this man sold or gave him to these people. or maybe he lives there too. recheck every house you have already checked and more. I agree with the others ask questions and listen closely. slowly look around peek in their doors windows with out them knowing before you knock. take your DH with you. |

I remember you saying you had a hearing device that amplified sounds when you were looking in crevices and stuff. COuld you bring this with you when looking in houses? That way it might look like a hearing aid and you'd be able to hear Cookie even if they tried to muffle her barks. |
Just a thought-- If you go to City Hall with an address you can find out the name of the person who owns that house. On a reverse lookup site--there are some free ones like WhitePages--you can do a reverse lookup for a street and you should get some names and phone numbers. I tried on a few specific addresses I know and I didn't get that specific person whose address I was searching, but I got a lot of the neighbors' names and phone numbers. |

Gen - I'm am really hoping that this is Cookie. He's been away from home for so long. He must really be sad. Good luck and keep us posted. Cindy |
I pray that you find him, I was in the same situation about 6 months ago and it took me nearly a month to get my Bella back so don't give up. Have to praise you for your hard work as well, it's inspiring. Hopefully things work themselves out and you get Cookie back. |
the house that I spoke to those people about is dirty like dirt on the sides or something. But Cookie's not there trust me. They dont own the house they rent it. So if I get the owners number I seriously doubt she will give me info. I want to check the cars... Things are so strange for me lately. You know 2 days ago I was driving behind this little old car and it had a crate in the back window. I kept staring and staring at this car in front of me hoping to see Cookie trying to hop up to see. And Lorrie tells me that she sees him in a crate ! I didnt tell Lorrie any of this. I looked at Google earth and the address but this is not updated pictures. Gen |
checked that out also, thanks not him FOUND - Yorkie (Sample Road and Military Trail) Date: 2009-12-01, 10:28PM EST Reply to: comm-yfqky-1489412656@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?] FOUND Yorkie on Sunday, November 29 at the intersection of Sample Road and Military Trail. Gen, do you know how the hole got in your gate? Did it look like it had been cut? |
I am praying that you find Cookie soon! Hi Gen, I was on google tonight and I was looking up websites that would give me information on getting a yorkie. I saw your thread and I was extremely upset about Cookie. I could not even think of every being in your situation. I look at my little man and I just start crying. I wish I could be in your area because I would help you search and search for your baby. I saw the video that you posted two years ago and I was crying because he is little just like mine maltese dog that weights about 3.5 pounds. I honestly deep down think you will find him and I will pray for his return to your arms. I know how it feels to have a little someone sleep right next to you. Don't give up and I will do some research as well on any sales/ found dogs in your area. I live in NJ and you touch my heart. By reading your posts I could tell how desperate and how much you love him. Best of luck!!!!!!: |

1 Attachment(s) Gen are you using Google Streetview? Or Google Earth? I find Google Streetview to have much clearer images. Google Maps with Street View I've attached a pic of an area near me, but you can even zoom in a little closer than what you see in this picture. I was lookin' at the junk in someone's carport, and could see the dirt on the siding of someone's house. It's pretty clear, and you can use your mouse to walk up and down the streets and check things out. I just want to be sure you are using the right website, as google "streetview" is fairly new. |

I have been checking this thread daily, hoping and praying that Cookie is home with his family. I feel so helpless & sad that I don't live near you to help. But just know that you & your family are in my thoughts and prayers at this time. Praying for Cookie's safe return to his loving family. |
I just relit our candle and sent up more prayers for Cookie's safe return. I am just amazed, and so proud, to see your dedication and the support coming in to find this little guy. {hugs} |

I just got a call from a Lady asking if I found my yorkie. I told her not yet. She says she has a 1 yr male that she wants to give away to a good home because she cannot give him all the attention he wants. She says he's constantly wanting to be on her lap and she says she has no time plus she has 3 kids. Right now I am not in the position that I'm looking for a new dog but maybe I could foster him until I can find him a perfect home. He has all his papers she said. About 7 lbs I think. She is sending his pictures to me...as I'm writing this I just got a picture message of him. This is truly so sad because here I am searching, calling people, taking calls of people who say they've seen Cookie and there are people wanting to give them up for free? Gen |

I agree. You have shown that you are an awesome mom to Cookie, and this person sees that. I would be up front with her and tell her that you are only willing to foster him, but would guarantee that you would find him a good home. I hope that Cookie comes home soon. |
I'm going to post his picture here. He looks cute and just needs to have his hair conditioned and grow out. She wants to meet me tomorrow . Im not going to her house and she is not coming to my house. We're meeting in front of a store. I would foster him. I just went to a No Kill shelter and they told me a lady wants to give up her dog that is 1 yr old and she cant handle him because she is too old and her kids gave her this dog. This sounds like the same lady. I will see him tomorrow and post pictures here in a few min Gen |
2 Attachment(s) Here is the yorkie this lady is looking to rehome. She called me because she said she saw my flyer and wondered if I would consider taking him. You know before Cookie came into my life that answer would be NOWAY, not ever. But I know that yorkies are just different and to think that your mommy wants to give you away because there is no time for you or life is too busy... it breaks my heart. |

Gen, do you care if I repost your ad on craigslist for you? I think that if we keep it up at the top, more people will see it. |
He is so cute. I love his ears. I hope that you are able to help this little guy out. I know that it would be a little more stressful, but it would also be very rewarding. |

Google Maps I dont know if it shows up but that is the street behind us. I have such anxiety like I'm expecting to get him back soon but I dont have a clue when, where or what time. My hubby said I am deffinately not 100% there. I love to keep a nice clean house and if anyone calls me I'm usually doing laundry, cooking, decorating something... Now I dont even know where to begin to organize my home again. I dont feel like Christmas at all but I will try to at least put up our tree this weekend or next weekend.I collect any snowmen plush decorations and have probably over 30 Snowmen that decorate my whole house. Not this year. |
