Then you laugh so hard you are on the floor and everyone would know for sure you were crazy because there is no way you could get the words out of your mouth to explain it, no matter how hard you tried. FYI, my daughter still remember it and gives me the nubs about it on occassion because I didn't believe her. Would you have? Geeze......those things they remember. along with how many toys they had, that they had to pick up after themselves, didn't have as many clothes as the furbie, had to eat whatever was put in front of them, didn't get treats just for being "cute"......long list of "failures" as a parent of human babies, lol. Can't win.

I read this last night and was laughing so hard that I was crying. Woke up at 4 am laughing about you and the toilet and cat. At the time it must have really been a shock but looking back it is as funny as heck! Thanks for the amusing post.

Spoiled?.......Onegus went to the Vet today for his second Lymes Vacine shot ( We live in the county and have deer in the yard all the time. His "nickname" is Bugbate) He did just fine at the Vet. didn't even wimper when he got stuck, jumped right up into the front seat of the car to go home. Took his walk once we got there. The minute he saw daddy, he started limping. Daddy hand fed him his supper, ice cream for dessert, FROM a spoon yet and had him on his lap all evening, rubbing his boo boo, even iced it. He is in bed with daddy now. HOWEVER, when daddy wasn't in the room, he pranced around just fine. Guess he knows whose chain he can yank, huh? I had surgery last year and had to ASK for food and water and had to punch the man for a pain pill during the night cause I couldn't get out of bed. I thought this was supposed to be MY furbie. Might have to get a little girl just so I can get my lap warmed, lol. With my luck, she would claim him has hers too. Oh well, there's always Cat.

Diva also tries to claim my husband as hers!! When he and I kiss she either barks like crazy if we are standing up or if we are sitting on the couch she will wedge her way in between us and try to get in between our faces to try to kiss him. I have had to tell her on more than one occasion that he is my husband not hers. He of course loves to have women fighting over him. I seriously have to keep an eye on those 2. I may have to contact Cheaters to see what's going on behind my back. LOL

My Brandi used to do this when she was younger and I was married. I guess it worked because the husband DID stop kissing or hugging me.:)

I made sure daddy understood that I could not eat unless I was hand fed, one tiny piece at a time and that he had to sit on the floor with me to do it. BTW, my daddy is over 6 ft tall, lol. Mommy put an end to it after a week because she would hold my dish up, tell me to sit and give me one bite then put my dish in front of me and walk away. (Daddy still hand feeds me when she isn't looking.)
I KNOW there is no good reason to bring bags into the house unless there is something for me.
I have a big doggie brother, 87#, and a big cat brother, 20# and they do whatever I tell them to do. Even laying down nicely so I can nap on them. And they are only allowed to play with toys if I say so and have the time to play too. They also may not eat until I check out what they have. I get special expensive food but I have to make sure theirs is OK. That's my job as a brother. Brother cat now eats in the basement. He isn't a good sharer. It is also my job to tell mommy and daddy if Cat is doing something he should not be doing. He says I am a tattle tale. I also make sure my big dog brother knows I am in the lead when we are both outside. If he doesn't listen and gets sassy with me, mommy and daddy make him wait inside until I come in.
I go almost every where in the car with my mommy and daddy. Daddy lets me lay on the console, but mommy insists that I have an 18" lead with the seatbelt through it, hooked to my harness when I am alone in the car with her. Since it is in the front seat, the air bag is alway turned off when I am in the car.
I have more toys then my human brothers and sister had when they were little and they tell mommy and daddy all about that. Mommy puts them in a basket at night but daddy tips it over in the morning and I am allowed to leave them all over the house all day. Mommy puts them away after I go to bed. Same with clothes. I have jammies, sweatshirts and 5 snowsuits. But hey, I am a little guy and it's cold outside and on the floor. Not that I am there except to play. I like laps much better then the floor.
When I first came home, Daddy said I could not sleep in his bed. I think he was kidding. I take naps with daddy every day in the big bed, but mommy makes me sleep in my own bed at night. I know what time bedtime is, 9:30PM and I tell them. I pace up and down the hallway and cry until my jammies are on me and daddy cuddles me like a little baby and rubs my belly. THEN I can be put in my bed. I also have a daytime bed in the living room. Cat thought they bought the cube for him, but I let him know it was all mine so he leaves it alone now.
I love my mommy, but my daddy is my best friend. He shares his icecream and human popcicles with me and sneaks me human nibbles when mommy isn't looking. When he is outside, I wait at the top of the steps for him to come back in. If it is winter and he is plowing snow, I wait there with an extra pair of heavy socks for him, which I have sneaked out of mommy's clean folded laundry.
No, I am not spoiled, I am very special and I deserve to be treated that way. I give lots of kisses and snuggles, and even smiles sometimes so they know I love them too.;)

If this is not the cutest thing!

I'm so glad this thread was started. This is too cute for words.

You know how people say on the computer all of the time LOL....well these precious precious stories have given me many an audible chuckle....but even better, I am copy pasting them and sending them to the daughter in Japan , my vet friend, and my cocker obssessed friend with the good heart (in other words, people who I know will appreciate them).

Keep em coming.......AUntie

1.) She demands to eat whatever you are eating. If it's good for human's it's good for Diva (after all she's human too!). When told "no" she pouts for hours refusing to cuddle.

2.) After a bath, Diva must be wrapped in a towel warmed in the dryer and then told over and over again how pretty she is. Then after grooming she does what we call the pageant walk, prissing aound with her fur flowing around her while all humans exclaim how beautiful she is.

3.) Diva hates to get her feet wet. If it's raining she will stop at the door and look up at me as if to say " um, are you crazy" and turn around and priss back inside.

4.) She tattles on the cat all the time. She tells me: if the cat jumps on the counter, if the cat was mean to her, if the cat is on a bed (because of course all beds belong to Diva), if the cat shredded paper towels, etc, etc. Apparently the cat is a disgusting animal and Diva has very little tolerance for her. LOL She will come to me and bark like crazy and lead me straight to whatever crime the cat has committed. I am then required to fuss at the cat while Diva sits there beside me looking so proud of herself.

5.) If we are riding in the car the kids do not have to argue about who gets to ride in the front seat if Diva is with us. I swear she gets in the front passenger seat and refuses to move. It's so funny. My oldest daughter will try to move her while Diva just digs her nails into the seat and holds on for dear life. Shelby will finally say "fine Diva!! Have the front seat!!" and Diva will shake out her fur and give me the cutest "I won" look.

I'm sitting her LMAO

:DOkay, I'm back... This is what I have to put up with when Hubby comes home from work (she thinks he's a Big Dog: goes gaga and absolutely limp in his arms and drools!)(I'm almost jealous!):

Her new Trick: The old trick is that she recycles. Will empty recycle paper/cardboard container and basically shreds every piece! Plastic soda pop bottles she will try to get from under my foot as I smash them and runs away to chew them up. New Trick: If she is denied access to in-house recyclables... when she goes out to potty she steals the curved section off of the gutter downspout and runs all over the yard with it and tries to bring it in the house, but it won't fit through the doggy door! Ha! I pray to God she leaves the vinyl siding alone!

PS: The cat/toilet thing happened to me about 2 weeks ago. Happy to report we are both still alive and no children were punished...

I just thought of another also. Whenever we open ANY tupperware or plastic container from the fridge, Uni goes and sits on her "carpet" (it's just a dish towel on the floor, but she's trained to wait for her food on there). If we eat anything from it and don't give her any, she gives us a little whine, like "don't forget about me....." If we ignore her, it goes into a "bark!" like WTF?! then if we give her some, it HAS to be on a little spoon.

Oh if someone cracks open a hard boiled egg in the morning, if Uni is still sleeping, she can hear it and wake up. It's her alarm clock. She will wake up and bark and whine at the door. Clearly if someone is cracking an egg it is for her!

That reminds me, Kaji is way more spoiled than I thought. Kaji knows better than ti beg for table scraps. In fact, he is so well trained that he can sit on my lap as I'm eating and he won't beg for a piece. Kaji around my dad however is a totally different story.
Kaji knows my dad can't resist his big brow eyes so Kaji will walk right over, and paw at my dad's thigh. It's all over...until I catch them of course. Last Sunday, Kaji was being fed all sorts of naughty yummies while I was getting cookies out of the oven. I turned to look and my dad was handing Kaji a piece of bread. Kaji had just gotten it in his mouth and my dad was still holding on to it when I said, "Kaji! What are you doing???" They both froze. My dad let go of the bread and Kaji stood there with the bread in his mouth. "Kaajiii....what have you got in your mouth? Drop it!" Kaji did drop the bread and came right next to me without touching it again. My dad then said, "Kaji, your mom is so mean! We were having such a lovely time eating naughty yummies, why did she have to turn around?"
I swear my dad is two now.... but it was so cute when they both froze when they were caught red handed. :D

When I do Uni's grooming, it's on top of a showcase at the shop. the glass got broken, and instead of buying a new glass, we covered it with a thick clear plastic film. (So I'm ghetto and lazy so what?) And we put a pashmina type scarf over it. Well this has become Uni's "hammock" and when I groom her she rolls onto her back and closes her eyes (though she's def not sleeping), as if she's getting a spa treatment. Esp since I've been using the madan brush from mimimomo

mimimomo 11-18-2009 03:26 PM

Uni totally cracks me up...that she has her eyes closed lol! That's so funny, Mimi does the same thing, except it's on my bed & she'll lie down on her side while I brush her, although she keeps her eyes open. When I'm done w/one side, she'll get up, streeeetch & lie down on her tummy. I flip her over & brush the other side hehee.
